Il Grottino Restaurant

We came here by chance on our roadtrip. The view on Pitigliano is stunning and the food genuine and simply fantastic. The waitress was extremely polite and surprised us with two fantastic desserts at the end of our meal.
On the photo you can see the "tortelloni al ragu bianco" that were accompained by some local honey wich was a very tasty surprise.
We had water and alcohol-free beer. Big plus!
Will come eat here again for sure!

If you go to Pittigiano you have to try this Tiramisu, it’s the best I’ve ever had and I’ve lived in Italy for 6 months!!!

Had a marvelous dinner at il Grottino. Service efficient and genuinely friendly, food, including bruschetta and two pasta dishes was very good. My spinich ravioli was topped with a meat sauce and drizzled with honey. Desserts, lemon sorbet and tiramisù, excellent.

Best meal, service and all together experience! We’ve now been driving around Italy for over 2 weeks and are yet to find a meal to beat this one!

Pretty good food for a fair price. Service is good and friendly. BUT the best is the view on Pitigliano - look at the image and judge yourself: Can you expect any better from lunch? :-)))

Can’t figure out why the negative reviews. We had great service and the food excellent. No problem with the wine. Not a wine expert so it was just awesome. Went there at sunset and the view is fabulous. Going back in a few days and take friends.

We stayed at a villa adjacent to Il Grottino and visited for dinner one night. Pricing was good and the food was really fresh and even our picking kids (5 and 2) enjoyed the ravioli and apps! The staff was very accommodating to their guests... including setting up a heater for another couple dining with a young infant when it started to rain and get a little chilly. Would visit again if we were ever in Pitigliano!

Wonderful character restaurant with an amazing view of Pitigliano. Parked 40 metres away and were so pleased we decided to eat lunch there. Basically a small indoor kitchen with excellent outdoor seating with a stunning view. Good food too. Thank you.

This place was amazing. The view is out of this world!! The food was incredible. I went back multiple times while driving through Tuscany!!

Randomly got here. It was a wonderful surprise. The food is delicious, the service was great and friendly. It’s a family owned restaurant and you can tell they take pride in their job. Try the tagliatelle al cinghiale, or the ravioli al ragu. They are amazing. The cheese and prosciutto board was to die for.

Family owned with house specialities. We really enjoyed our time there.

By far the best pizza, our kids ate every last bit of it (and that's a lot to say for our picky kids) . But whether you are going for pizza or a more intricate meal, this place has it. Excellent-friendly service, be sure to try their home made sweets.

After parking to walk to the walled city we saw the quintessential restaurate owner standing outside his business, his smiling and inviting face sucked us in to garden restaurant like a magnet. Olive Garden would be wise to recruit this iconic looking guy to market their goods. Il Grottino Restaurant overlooked the chasem Pitligliano towered above with an awesome view of the fortress as well. This is what we enjoyed until the awesome food arrived. My wife had an amazing pasta dish while I enjoyed the best veal sautéd in butter and herbs I could ever imagine. i wanted to return but it didn't work out. The service, the view and the food couldn't be beat.

We stumbled on Il Grottino after finding a place to park and we're so glad we did. Great food, friendly casual outdoor atmosphere and an absolutely fantastic view!

We were just upstairs and enjoyed several wonderful meals. We were treated like family! Also the best view in Pigiliano!!

Lovely outdoor restaurant overlooking the town center. Great pizza and Tuscan soup. Friendly staff.
