Worth the visit! Great tour through the castle which we followed with a cooking class lead by Alexandra and her mother. An absolutely incomparable experience with delicious wine. One of the highlights of our trip to Italy and definitely our portion spent in Tuscany.

Excellent host! Explained the history of the property and their wine making processes in great detail. The wine was very good and super reasonable. Overall the tasting and tour was totally worth it. The tasting room had great views and was super relaxing. We bought a case to be shipped home. Definitely would return.

Wine Tasting Review:

Lets review this by looking into three main index:

1. Wine and its food
We got to taste three kind of wines. We got to try, Juli'o a balanced wine, Rosso di Montalcino, and the rare Brunello. I personally love the Juli'o that we bought three bottles of it when we left. The Brunello was amazing but of it was on the higher end of the price (50ish EUR). I am no wine connoisseur, but the tasting went super well with the food that was given. We got a full meal during our visit. One big platter of antipasti that serves also for vegetarian people. Then continued with a great pasta with ragu sauce! The pasta was definetely one of the best. Then closing with good dessert. 5/5 expereience.

2. Atmosphere
The place was nearby Montalcino. If you dont use car, it may pose tricky to go there. The surrounding area of the vineyard was beautiful nonetheless. The winery itself was built upon an old castle, so the building was beauftil and aesthetically pleasing. We got to see lots part of remaining history and roads that have great significances in history. The castle was well maintained and the winery really was a beautiful place to visit. 5/5 spot

3. Service
We were assisted by Paolo. He was a knowledgable guide, he knows his way around the winery and the process, As food technologist and also wine enthusiast, we were satisified with all the knowledge. During the course of wine tasting, we were explained sufficiently about the wine and the story behind it. He was a lovely guide, but it would be great to have him around a bit longer. He sometimes not around, so it was challenging to ask more about the wine. Finally, everyone in the premises was kind and attentive to our need and helped a lot in getting the wine. 4/5 service.

We had a lovely experience. Nice, informative tour and good, red wine. This isnt really my area since I prefer white wine over red, but even I loved these wines. We brought 2 bottles with us. The employees were also really kind to us and our dog. We fully recommend.

Lovely little castle on the hill, small tour around the castle, surroundings and cellars. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable.

We like the entry wines as well as the Brunello. You could purchase their available wines directly onsite.

We phoned late in the afternoon and were lucky enough to be squeezed into the last tour and tasting of the day. The tour was very informative and the building beautiful. We bought a bottle of brunello to take away for 45 euro. Worth every cent for the experience, definitely recommend.

Lovely place. We just stumbled in by chance on our way through Tuscany and we’re able to join a tour a few moments later. We even were offered coffee for the wait. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history (> 800 yes old) of the building which was super interesting.

A beautiful winery in a fantastic setting. Without booking, I visited this winery on a rainy afternoon, just to purchase some of their wines, after reading some wonderful online reviews. I was welcomed by one of the employees who without hesitation offered me a tasting of their wines and spent some time discussing over the vinification process, crops, weather effect, etc. I found him deeply knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his job. Their wines were raging from great to outstanding, all 100% sangiovese grape, which make you appreciate even more the impact of various vinification processes and aging. I highly recommend a visit of the winery and sampling of their wines.

I would warmly recommend to visit the winery when visiting Montalcino. It’s a small vineyard but the wine tasting was very private and authentic. The tour was very interesting and their Brunello is so good. You can expect breathtaking views and a wonderful old castle.

Big thanks to Emmanuele for the incredible tour.

We’ve come to Tricerchi every time we visit Montalcino. The tour of the grounds and cellars is very nice and informative, they make really great wine at good prices, the lunch is fantastic, and Tommaso is a welcoming and generous host!

We were in Roma two days after our visit to Tricerchi and walking to dinner, and Tommaso spotted us on the street and came over to say hello. We were quite surprised that he recognized us and we had a nice chat for a bit. It was a bit of serendipity, but it showed a lot of character.

Truly, great wine made by great people.

Such a beautiful and historic vineyard! Not only did we see the vineyards, we also toured parts of the historic castle. The tasting was one of the most personal, intimate tastings of the trip, with our guide tasting along side us to share her thoughts on each wine. What an amazing experience!

This tour was so wholesome and refreshing. Thomasso was such a great host, and the history of this family and its wine was enriched with authenticity. I hope to visit it again just for the conversation alone. The wine is incredible.

Awesome place and a very rich history. We meet Tommas who was a 17th generation descendant who have us a tour. The wines were awesome and we ordered a few cases. Looking forward to going back again.
