Best icecream I know in Tuscany. Home made with lots of craftsmanship and all natural ingredients. Do not forget to try the day-special-flavours.

C’era una Volta.. I was in Lucignano in 2006 while the world cup was on and my memories are great. I remember the first time I tried the chocolate fondant ice cream and I was sold.
Now I returned as an adult in 2022, and C’era una Volta was one of the most nostalgic experiences I’ve ever had. The ice cream is the best I’ve ever tried.

The owner is nice and always makes us smile. Can’t wait for my son to grow up and try his ice cream and see his expression.

Sincerely, Sebastian from Denmark

We have been enjoying the gelato from this location since....1990-something (Snoopy era), 15 plus trips to Italy. It has never failed to live up to our recollections as simply the best gelato in Italy, and so we make a point to visit each trip. Additionally, the owners are a kind and cheerful couple who tirelessly and graciously serve and create fantastic flavors year after year. As long as I can remember this establishment, I can remember him being there, smiling to greet us each return. Add in that Lucignano is a gem unto itself, and you are in for three treats (gelato, town, owners).

Wow, we enjoyed the depth of flavours of the limited range. The owner was kind and the service was about right. The prices were super nominal and no wonder they are highly rated! Would like to go back there next time.

Very nice, we were here barely not interested in beauty of Lucignano. Preoccupied by helping Ukrainian refugees who escaped from Russian barbaric invasion we noticed this calm and beautiful place. We had little hope it’s open. It’s dead season (in Ukraine veery dead). But the gelateria was open, even choice of taste was quite lavish despite dead season. Ice cream was perfect. What a comfort in the darkest days of Europe.

One of the best gelatos I’ve ever had in Italy, even better than many in Florence. The hazelnut and cheesecake are amazing. We stayed in Lucignano for 5 nights and couldn’t help but go back every day.

Company of 8 people we tried almost all the gelato. They were all fantastic. You can put gianduia chocolate on the bottom of the cup! Excellent place!

Ezio, the owner, is passionate about using the highest quality ingredients prepared with meticulous attention to tradition. His ice cream machine was made in 1957, and it’s slow pace and physical demands are the cost to make our favorite gelato yet - it makes a huge difference when you eat it moments after it was made! The texture is significantly smoother than modern machines. Ezio was friendly, dedicated to his craft, and patient with our kids. Please, don’t touch the glass, and make sure to enjoy this fantastic gelato!
