Best surprising restaurant!! One of my top 3 meals had ever. Delicious pasta, extremely tender steak that melts like butter, and great atmosphere in hidden terrace in the back! Lovely service and delicious bread!! Highly highly recommend

I have learned during my adventure that Italian chefs are passionate about their menu and the customers' satisfaction. Now, to foreigners or those unfamiliar with this personality, it will come across as rude. Please know it's not rude. It's a passion for their training, skill, and trade. With that being said, the food at Trattoria was phenomenal. Every plate was made with detail to flavor and presentation. The gnocchi was hands down the best we have had. It is so perfectly cooked and sauced. This is a must visit restaurant, and you plan to spend a minimum of 2 hours. Only because this experience should be savored.

Ordered a Florentine steak with roast potatoes and a Greek salad. House wine was a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Everything was made to a very high standard. I had the best tiramisu of my life here, looks like a hot mess in the photo but tasted divine. Staff were pleasant and courteous. Can definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to try a Florentine steak!

If you want to eat delicious Italian food, definitely go to this Trattoria. Their Florentine steak is absolutely amazing. The service is excellent. Away from the tourist part. Mostly Italians.

Wonderful experience at this Trattoria away from the touristy areas. Felt very welcomed as soon as we walked in, and we were lucky enough to sit next to the owner. He went out of his way to make this an experience of a lifetime. The food was delicious and we would highly recommend coming here. It is a must stop when visiting Florence.

This place is amazing, away from the craziness of the city center. We had the boar pasta and Florentine steak, it was like eating a home cooked meal!

Oustanding value authentic fare. Popular with real locals and away from most of the most touristy areas. If you're visiting Florence, there's no need to opt for fine dining - this is the real deal!

Simply phenomenal meal at Trattoria Dell’Orto. It was easy to book in a table for 7 and when we arrived we were greeted with pure kindness and amazing service by the wait staff.

Orders were taken with enthusiasm and they were so kind to recommend certain dishes. We weren’t pushed to have a bigger cut of beef either!

The standouts were of course the bistecca alla fiorentina and the wild boar Ragu however every other dish was simply amazing.

This was recommended by our Airbnb owner who grew up in this neighborhood. This is away from the touristy areas. We were first in line without a reservation. (Reservations are recommended) They put us on the patio which we did not know existed and it was FABULOUS! It was May and the weather was perfect. Food was yummy! Get the fried zucchini flower!

We ate here two times already. Service was great and we got our food in 10/15 min. Two times all of 6 people from our group were full and delighted by dishes.
If we could give 6 stars - we would.

Fantastic! All around! Everything we ordered from the wine, to the pasta, to the steak was simply wonderful.

We managed to get in without a reservation, the staff was friendly and the food was tasty. The atmosphere was great. The portion of pasta with tartufata was good, the portion of ravioli could be a bit bigger.
