Trattoria del Contadino

This gem is well off the beaten path. Trust google to take you all the way. We refer to Contadino as "the mountain restaurant" despite that it is lower elevation than our villa. This feeling is due to its remote location and the serpentine roads we must take to get there. However, we have taken that trip many times ...gladly, knowing what awaits us.

I gave only 4 stars for the atmosphere because it is rustic, but that is part of its charm. The food is wonderful and well priced. Don't miss the cockerel.

I can't remember ever having desert because we always have leftovers which we enjoy the next days.

6 months later I am here again within days of returning to Italy. This place FEELS different than other wonderful Tuscan restaurants. My soul need that difference.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Trattoria del Contadino and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The food was absolutely delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. But what really stood out was the exceptional service provided by our waitress. She was extremely friendly and attentive throughout the entire meal, making us feel right at home.

The cherry on top of our dining experience was when the owner went above and beyond to ensure we got home safely. When we realized there were no taxis available, he personally offered to drive us home in his own car. This act of kindness was truly unexpected and we were incredibly grateful. It's not often you come across a restaurant owner who cares so deeply about his customers.

Overall, I highly recommend Trattoria del Contadino for anyone looking for delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The personal touch provided by the owner truly sets this restaurant apart and we will definitely be returning soon.

Siamo stati a pranzo. Cucina delicata ed equilibrata, molto buona. Molto carino compreso nel servizio un vassoio con pezzetti di pane tostato da condire con varie salse, piacevole sorpresa. Ci torneremo.

Sono stata oggi.... il giorno di Natale a pranzo in questo ristorante che già conoscevo. Tutto come sempre ottimo dal cibo, servizio, pulizia e ambiente.Complimenti!!!!

Posto molto bello, arieggiato. Cibo fantastico, bistecca super. Buona scelta di vini. Costo della carne superiore ad altri posto (6 euro al chilo), ma li vale. Gestione tutta al femminile 🔝.

Io e il mio compagno abbiamo fatto una gita fuori porta da Roma e abbiamo pranzato in questa trattoria. Tutto divino! Dagli antipasti al vino e i primi piatti, per non parlare dei dolci fatti in casa. Pulizia, cordialità e professionalità si aggiungono al cibo eccellente. Il posto è incantevole, immerso nelle campagne toscane. Un angolo di paradiso.

Un posto meraviglioso, personale molto gentile e cordiale, piatti tipici buonissimi. I nostri figli adorano mangiare in questo ristorante.

Fantastico! Abbiamo mangiato benissimo... Dal coccino di antipasti alle tagliatelle fresche (fatte da loro) al tartufo nero, alla fiorentina che era eccezionale! Prezzi giusti e onesti. Personale cortese e disponibile e location caratteristica. Davvero consigliato e raccomandato. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.!

Abbiamo pranzato in una bella terrazza con una vista bellissima.

Abbiamo pranzato qui per una pausa dal viaggio, comodo all'uscita Chiusi Chianciano terme. Ottima la pasta tipica fresca con tartufo e le tagliate. Vista panoramica e ambiente caratteristico.

Una bellissima sorpresa... Ottima accoglienza, personale carinissimo. Pranzato benissimo. Ottimi i piatti di Cinta senese. La location è veramente bella immersa nel verde.
