If I could give this place ten stars out of five, I would. Definitely book the tour and tasting. They'll send you directions - it's a bit tricky to get to. Gorgeous location and drive to it. Very welcoming, and lots of great wine and tons of delicious food that just kept coming. We ended up spending three hours hanging out, eating, drinking and having an amazing time. I only left to get to another booking I made. I would have stayed longer if I could have, and they weren't rushing us to leave. Thank you so much, Planeta Ulmo, for such an unforgettable experience!

Charming big producers of wine here in Sicily. Enjoyed our brief tour and sampled some good wines, especially the white. They produce all their Chardonnay wine at this location. Try the 2018, great year. The wines are young that we tasted but give 5+ years. Worth a visit. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Would recommend going. Would also suggest a driver, very generous pours might curtail your driving ability. From Sciacca, a private taxi was 140 euros round trip. And he waits for you. Cheers.

Beautiful place! We arrived at 6pm and even though the place was officially closed, the people working there were nice enough to host us for one glass of wine. It was a pleasant experience and the views so picturesque. Thank you!
When you’re driving there and not in a 4x4, take the northern road as the road from south is super rocky and at times even precarious.

If you are visiting Sicily & love wines you must visit Planeta Winery! Yesterday we had an amazing tasting experience with Genevra. Her hospitality & wonderful knowledge of all things Planeta made our visit that much more enjoyable. Our tasting was followed by a delicious lunch. Planeta has & always will be my favorite place to visit when I’m in Sicily.

A very special winery that’s well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Out of town, nestled amongst their vines, a small shop stocks their best wines and olive oils with the chance for a tasting if you book in advance.

We came to look and ended up leaving with a dozen bottles of wine. The staff were super friendly and even gifted us a free bottle of wine to sit and enjoy while we chose what to buy.

Such a special location tucked between mountains and a lovely lake. The food was amazing and I recommend a tasting of their incredible wines. A special gift of Sicily is this place

Great experience in a magic place, the vineyard itself is really scenic and cosy, very nicely refurbished. The tour was extremely interesting and the tourguide Erica was friendly and very well prepared. We enjoyed a yummy lunch and obviously excellent wine. Impressive also the attention to details in terms of environmentally friendly and sustainable set up of the company and tour itself!!! Definitely recommended

An enchanted and enchanting place where tasting the fruits of the vineyards is made easy by knowledgeable staff, excellent hospitality and historical surroundings. Sicilian viticulture and hospitality at its best.

I love the Planeta wines and we come every year to try (and buy) their wines. The location of the winery is idyllic, without GPS maybe a bit more difficult to find. I can recommend the tasting with lunch, which is a nice way of spending the late morning and lunchtime.

Ginevra e Una Grande persona!! The wine and the food are very delicious, light and filling. Not to mention that we bought 18 wines on the way out. 5*

Simply the best

Azienda agricola di 400 ettari sparsi per tutta l'isola con prevalenza alla viticoltura che pur rispettando la tradizione vinicola hanno una spiccata ricerca a nuovi prodotti. Ottima la presenza di un membro della famiglia Planeta che con chiarezza e professionalità ci ha intattenuto nella degustazione di ben 8 etichette compresa la nuova briosa, allegra e leggera "Ferdinandea" molto apprezzati i rossi la "Controdanza" e la "Burdese". Ambiente tranquillo in un baglio ben curato nelle vicinanza del lago Arancio. Consigliato per una visita anche a chi non é appassionato o stimatore di vini.

Tutte le volte che veniamo in Sicilia, tappa fondamentale è passare a salutare Ginevra , per noi è importantissimo sempre ascoltare la descrizione dei suoi vini sempre fatta in modo appassionato. Sicuramente location da consigliare, posto tranquillissimo e meraviglioso
