Terme Acqua Pia

We had a lovely time at Acqua Pia. The pool is gorgeous and the water is clear and stunning. We swam through a rain storm and brought lunch. Loved the grotto area with waterfalls. The temperature of the water was warm but not hot, great for us on a sunny day. We brought lunch and made a picnic out of it. 10/10 would recommend! Service was friendly.

Wellness, relax, polite staff and great food.

We stayed for two nights and, overall, we had a great time, although it didn't start well: initially we had a bad experience at check-in, since we had the "pleasure" to meet the owner, whom clearly has ZERO experience in hospitality and thinks it is acceptable to lecture customers about which credit card they should use, how and where... He also had no issues discussing about some previous clients, that he didn't like for some reason, muttering and asking his employees to add those customers to "the blacklist". Since then I've been calling him "Mr. Blacklist".

Fortunately two great staff members (Vitaliana and Giuseppe) stepped in and carried out the check-in process professionally and with kindness (probably in the attempt of recovering from their boss inadequacy).

The room was a cosy single building, surrounded by greenery (orange trees all over the place and you are allowed to have as many orange as you like). Internally is a not-to-small ensuite room, quite warm thanks to a very functional heater and a mini fridge. They provided all the necessary, including two pairs of slip-proof slippers as well as complementary water and prosecco... which is a nice touch.

From our room it took less than 2 minutes to walk to the first pool (the rustic one with warmer water) and we spent at least 4 hours soaking there on the first day... That day it wasn't too crowded but the next two days it was much more busy (it was new year's eve tbh...).

The next day we spent 60 mins in the SPA (service previously purchased) that includes steam shower, sauna and a jacuzzi. They also offered us an herbal tea.

After the SPA we went to the second pool, which is a proper pool with slightly colder water, where you can actually swim if you want to. We didn't spend much time there but I guess kids would appreciate it better.

We had breakfasts, launches and dinners every day at the local restaurant and every time we had a great culinary experience. Thanks to the chef (Mr. Ruffo) and all the kind waiters that attended to us.

What really made our experience a beautiful one was the attentive care of the staff that works there and in fact we want to express our gratitude, especially, to Vitaliana who went over and above to make our stay very special: grazie!

In conclusion, I would definitely recommend you to go (either for a day trip or to spend one or more nights). It is also worth to try the local restaurant and if you like you can book wellness treatments at the SPA. Also, be aware of Mr. Blacklist... you might end up in his list (or, even worse, end up being lectured by him) if you are thinking about using an Amex card...

Very relaxing! The water is enough warm for winter. There are swimming pool for adults and for children, plus swimming pool with waterfalls done in a natural way with stones. There are restaurant, massages and rooms available. Don’t forget to take bathrobe, towel and flip flops. They have hairdryer they, so no need to have with you. Parking is free of charge.

End of April 2019, we visited thermal bath Acqua Pia for three days. The hotel and restaurant staff was more than kind to us, we felt welcome all the time.
We visited Acqua Pia in the off-season, so apparently, we were the only hotel guests. But nonetheless, we were served very accommodating. In the restaurant, breakfasts were very nice, the dinners were excellent! Also, allergies and intolerances were totally considered, thanks a lot again!
Accommodations are surely rather simple, and the thermal bath has been getting on in years, but Acqua Pia has an own charm which appealed us during our whole stay. The site is not made for mass tourism but for individual travellers like us.
Especially our five years old daughter enjoyed Acqua Pia, and if ever possible, we surely will come back!

Beautiful place - the set up is lovely and water as warm as you can imagine. For sure a good place for a relaxed afternoon!

Out of the way, wonderful, natural springs.
We simply loved our day here.
Bring a picnic lunch, you can, and you will be happy because the offerings are slim.

Must to visit when you're nearby

The water is amazing. Facilities are a bit dated but everything is clean. Stuff is quite friendly. Averall recommended to visit.

Un grazie particolare a Giuseppe e Vitaliana per l'accoglienza professionale e gioiosa. Posto bellissimo un' oasi di pace, incantevole, pulitissimo e curato anche nei particolari. Le stanze dotate di ogni comfort e pulite; piscine enormi che non creano assembramenti e anch'esse super pulite. La possibilità di portare il cibo da casa, da consumare anche in area picnic, dà la possibilita' a intere famiglie di passare un giorno in relax, a costi accessibili. Grazie!

Ero già stato alle Terme 14 anni fà, oggi ho trovato una gestione più attenta e curata, la struttura è molto pulita con ottima accoglienza. Il check-in è stato perfetto, arrivato prima, si sono mesi subito a disposizione anticipando la consegna degli alloggi. Abbiamo soggiornato in camere spaziose e riservate vicinissime le piscine naturali. Un luogo tranquillo e confortevole.

Struttura ottima e ben curata nei dettagli , personale accogliente e sempre disponibile, ringraziamo la signora Vitaliano e il signor Giuseppe per l'accoglienza all'arrivo. spa con personale qualificato, di sicuro da provare i trattamenti, un vero plauso alla signorina Marina, per il massaggio che abbiamo scelto di fare, per quanto mi riguarda potrei dire da mani d'oro . Altro piacevole luogo e il ristorante con un simpaticissimo chef e con collaboratrici sempre pronte per qualsiasi richiesta. Di sicuro ritorneremo volentieri !

Inspiegabili tutte queste recensioni negative. Il posto è un'oasi di pace. Piscina bellissima, pulita e con acqua calda. Io e mio figlio abbiamo trascorso una giornata ad Aprile e siamo stati tutto il giorno in acqua come se fosse estate. La signora che gestisce le terme sempre col sorriso, simpatica e disponibile. Torneremo sicuramente.

Immergersi nelle acque termali è un'esperienza meravigliosa (non si vuole più uscire 😅)
Ampio parcheggio.
Piscine per grandi e piccini (sempre con acqua rigorosamente calda) con all'esterno sdraio.
La struttura offre ampio spazio esterno immerso nel verde, con angolo bar, area picnic, area bimbi, docce e spogliatoi.
Bellissima giornata all'insegna del relax e divertimento

Ich kann diesen Ort nur empfehlen! Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Meine Kinder wollten gar nicht mehr aus dem Wasser. Es ist angenehm warm.

Il posto è veramente stupendo ma ciò che ha reso speciale e indimenticabile l’esperienza è stato il personale che ci ha fatto sentire davvero coccolati. In particolare Vitaliana è stata il nostro punto di riferimento per tutte le giornate per qualunque richiesta, Marina che si occupa del centro benessere e spa che durante il trattamento per due persone è stata chiarissima su ciò che andava ad applicare sulla pelle, esponendoci tutto sui prodotti utilizzati e dando anche qualche consiglio che ci sta risultando utile attualmente. Il bar e il ristorante gestito perfettamente, con una buona scelta e selezione di prodotti sia di carne che di pesce e davvero gentilezza ed educazione che vanno a completare e rendere perfetto il soggiorno da loro. Dei professionisti, non vedo l’ora di tornare
