Ristorante Al Vecchio Forno

The host went out of his way to give us the most amazing evening. Although he only spoke Italian, he still managed to provide us with great food/wine recommendations and tell us about the history of the restaurant. It all added to the great atmosphere. The food was just perfect. Fantastic home made bread and only high quality, local ingredients. Both the beef and trout tartar were delicious and the pasta with pesto and white fish was out of this world. We would also highly recommend the beef slices with black truffle. As desserts we had cheese cake with red fruit and chocolate fondant with pear; both were amazing. As you would expect from such a traditional Italian restaurant, the perfect evening finished with a nice glass of limoncello from the house.

It's brilliant! The food is good, the service is great and they have really, really nice espresso spoons. A lovely and cozy restaurant with a very rustic atmosphere!

Great experience, in many ways thanks to the waiter Sayel who was extremely attentive and eager to please. The food was great and the atmosphere was genuine. A thorough surprise to find a restaurant of this quality in such a small village. You won't regret going there!

MAGIC! You can enjoy the real local atmosphere, with handwritten menu. Tasty food and friendly staff. A bit of Italy and not like the tourist attractions.

It’s been a while ago but I definitely had the best truffle cream pasta EVER here. Also the red house wine was incredibly good. Add the very charming owners and you have a true Italian experience!

PS: Just wanted to have lunch on the way and had to see that there are no dogs allowed - that’s a real pity, we wanted to experience the food again but couldn’t :(((

A hidden gem. Excellent kitchen combined with a warm hearted service. This is Italian hospitality and gastronomy as it's best. Try it yourself and be overwhelmed.
