Best traditional calabrian food cooked by owner's family. Totally amazing dishies, so special, so tasty. We loved it!!! 20/5 stars. No menu, you eat what is prepared for the day. We must come again.

Came here almost by accident and the meal was absolutely incredible. There wasn't any menu, but the food was all incredible and extremely authentic. The owner was our server, despite us not speaking italian, and the staff not speaking English we managed to communicate well enough. The owner was so kind and when we told him it was our honeymoon he didn't charge me for my beer. An absolutely incredible way to cap off our trip.

A bit of adventure, and a bit of home, eating here was the highlight of our three-week trip across Italy. Authentic is an overused word these days and doesn't begin to do justice to the depth and deliciousness of the food here. It seems like the menu is set on a daily basis, so make sure to call ahead and make a reservation so they know you're coming. We didn't know this, but they were gracious enough to make room for us anyway. There is no physical menu, but the host and servers will take the time to explain what is available. They even asked us about food allergies. Regardless of what you order it will be the best hand-made Calabrian meal you'll ever have.

Really super tasty food!! Very good portions, very good price, very kind and welcoming staff. We stayed at reggio calabria for 4 nights and we have been at this place for evening meal 2 nights in a row! The guy Argentina helped us with the menu as he spoke English!! The restaurant gives you the feeling of being to a traditional place! Amazing experience, we will definitely revisit this place!

Great local food! lots of different small starters to share. The service was great. Fair price too. It has become a mandatory stop in future visits to Reggio Calabria!

I genuinely have to say that you have to try this place. It’s insanely good.
I’m Italian, I’m a foodie who loves to try different restaurants and cuisines and I have to say that this place deserves a second restaurant in London, Soho possibly. The food is super fresh (no written menu), tasty. We had the chance to try different local dishes as everything was just perfect.
The price was lower than we expected - a nice surprise!

We had a fabulous evening at La vie del gusto, thank you very much! The antipasti was terrific and we had great fun trying the different dishes. My requests for a vegetarian meal were met without any problem. Even though my Italian is not good, we were served very warmly. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit, wonderful local and regional food!

My parents and I have eaten in fancy Restaurants in Venice, Rome, Florence, Taormina, and other Italian cities. Still, we had never eaten food as delicious as in Le vie del gusto. We kept ordering and ordering because we just had to try everything. Every ingredient feels as fresh as it is (they have no menu, everything their kitchen offers is locally grown), and it results in the most fantastic homemade meal we have ever had. We ate a meal which could have been for 20 people, and we couldn’t stop. We even had dessert (their homemade sorbet is really good).
The servers are the NICEST people ever. They made us laugh so much, and even taught us some key Italian words. Lovely place and lovely people...and the best food.
I would go out of my way to eat here again if I ever have the opportunity to be in the area.

Fresh local products. Everything tasted just great. There is no menu because they prepare very seasonal and fresh food. Very homemade feeling in the food. The price also was very reasonable.
Can't recommend this amazing place enough.

Owner came to me and explained that they do not have menu, because it is changing according to fresh ingredients and all meals are prepared at the moment and that he would recommend me calabrase antipasto, then as primo choice from three pasta (i chose tagliatelle with mushrooms) and as second we agreed that we will see afterwards. (It seemed that he was relieved that i understand italian :)) I also ordered glass of house wine, which turned out to be (i think) two glasses...antipasto...well first plate with olives, cheese and some prosciutto...but then they brought another with zucchini, some fried potato something, sauce from onion, cabbage..i cannot even remember...and everything very tasty! but then they brought another plate! this second plate reminded me of czech cuisine very much...ufufu i was full and still one meal in front of me. Pasta was amazing, roasted almonds were very nice addition....i liked this pasta soo much...my biggest regret is, i was so full i could not order secondo or even dolce :( i just had amaro (i did not understand clearly, it was either one that own
Owner was soo frinedly and warm,asking if everything is ok. Bill only 22€!

If you’re looking for an excellent classic tomato pasta, order the Spaghettone Benedetto.

Everything else was excellent, but this pasta is unmissable.

Lovely place, really delicious food. The owners are very kind and helpful, it is a family run restaurant without a menu, one of the best food i have eaten.

No menu, ingredients are sourced locally and varies often.
I dined alone, accidentally ordered enough food for 17 people and it only cost 22euro with wine. I’d go again but I don’t think I’ll be eating again this year
