Ticket office to get ticket to walk into Civita di Bagnoregio. 5 euro per person ,dogs are free. You can't actually drive to this location, you have to park at a parking lot before this and walk, about one kilometer from parking lot into town and it's downhill and then uphill, so if you have mobility issues keep that in mind.

Drive all the way here and afraid of either the €5 entry or the hike up to the place itself? You're missing out.

This is a city in a position unlike any other I've ever seen. One way in and how could you possibly turn away after seeing the beautiful city perched up top, begging to be witnessed from all angles?

Not going to lie, we didn't know about how the parking works if there is any way to park closer so the moment we saw the signs indicating it is residents only we parked all the way out there and walked the 20 mins in. There are two grueling inclines on the way. The one to the ticket office, and the gorgeous bridge into the city itself. But forget about all that and enjoy the little things in life. Break a sweat and earn your way into this beautiful little gem and just soak it all in. You get so many panoramic views and an immediate hug from the small stature of the town itself.

Drive here. Get your workout. And you'll never forget it.

Wow, this place is unique. And there are actually people who still live here. There has been some damage from the recent earthquakes in Italy so don't be surprised if you see some work being done to the buildings and church when you go. Take your time and stroll through this amazing town. The vistas are gorgeous and let your mind wander to what it must of been like to live there hundres of years ago, enchanting.

I have never seen this kind of view in any other places in the world. You can find this special view only here. When you come here by your car, be careful. You have to park your car before proceeding to the ticket office otherwise you will get the fine as the car of tourist is not allowed to enter the road to the office. The nearest parking area is Parking Civita do Bagnoregio, so you park a car there and walk to the ticket office.
In summer, the sunlight is strong and there are not so much shade especially during the road to this place, so I recommend that you take a bottle of water with you.

Civita di Bagnoregio, often referred to as "the Dying Town," is a captivating and picturesque hilltop village in central Italy. Known for its stunning medieval architecture and dramatic setting atop a plateau of volcanic rock, Civita di Bagnoregio is accessible only by footbridge, adding to its allure.

Visitors are drawn to its narrow streets, ancient buildings, and panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and countryside. The town's history dates back over two millennia, and its current population is quite small, contributing to its peaceful and timeless atmosphere. Civita di Bagnoregio is a hidden gem for travelers seeking a glimpse into Italy's rich cultural and architectural heritage, away from the bustling tourist routes.

One of the most beautiful small ancient city of Italy. This city is very particular because it’s built on rock. Very unique. A must visit place for anyone visiting the centre of Italy.

We had a great time visiting Civita di Bagnoregio. The old town is amazingly lovely, but the setting, on top of the rocky promontory in the middle of that gorge, was breathtaking.

Be prepared for the steepness of the grade, going up the walkway to the town and back down. The grade must be over 35 degrees, so take your time or get in a good workout. We saw someone who had fallen coming down, having slipped on a wet section of the walkway.

Very characteristic village, situated in the middle of Lazio region, it's a surreal almost abandoned little town, it's on top of a calcareous mountain which is being consumed by the weather and Time. Highly recommended.

Things are not forever. We don’t know until when we have whatever you can see. Might be it will gone tomorrow might be it will gone 1 year after. Until we can see lets look after carefully.
So this is on of the town which will gone on future. It’s a must before fall down.

This is a must see in Italy. While yes there’s a 5$ per person fee (as of right now) it’s worth it. I’d suggest not going if u are in a wheelchair or physically disabled as it will be a bit of a walk up a steep bridge. There’s a few shops along with restaurants. The best part has to be the view tho. 9/10

Beautiful ancient town only accessible by a footbridge. Quite a long walk and dips up and down steep hills, but we'll worth it. If you are going on a weekend or holiday, go early in the day or it will.be very crowded. Lots of cats in the town, laying in the sun and walking around, all friendly.

Amazing place in Lazio. The town is very nice, but the 5 euro is a bit steep for entrance. However, services are wide available and I was surprised by the red cross being there to provide medical support. Please make sure you go early in the morning as it can quiet hot. Also, bring enough water.
