Strozzi Bistrò

We went there for a coffee but noticed that their menu includes “half size” dishes, which is very helpful, as we had a late breakfast but still need some bits for lunch.
The staff were very friendly and kind, and I love their room decoration very much, especially those face silhouetted chairs.
Their potato pasta is very delicious! We used bread to clean the dishes as washed. The cold cut dish half size is too big to finish! And their dessert chocolate brownies with berry ice cream is very beautiful touch as an end of a meal.
Definitely recommend it!

This bistro is a rare find in Florence. Google maps misidentifies its location as being on the outside of the Palazzo Strozzi, but it's actually on the inside, accessible through two or three doorways - on via degli Strozzi and via de' Tornabuoni. There's another entry on Piazza degli Strozzi, but this is currently blocked for some refurbishment. It has numerous tables under the arcade, and more tables and counters within the bistro.

I didn't come for the food, but just wanted a place to sit and read while sipping coffee. The coffee was excellent (Americano) and only 4 euros each. Really a bargain! This place is an open secret that most tourists never hear about. Plenty of tables available and no crowds. Just local Florentines living la dolce vita. There is free Wifi (Palazzo_Strozzi), and even in the hottest weather, it's exceptionally comfortable and a beautiful example of Renaissance architecture.

They have periodic major art shows here, but unfortunately I won't be here for any of them. (Sigh!)

After a long day of dodging tourists and incessant walking, this should be your go-to oasis of rejuvenation.

What an amazing evening we just experienced at Strozzi Bistro. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the most friendly and knowledgeable bartender we’ve had the pleasure of meeting (we didn’t catch his name), he selected some beautiful Chianti Classico reds for us which were fantastic, some of the best wine I’ve tasted, and brought out some incredible canapés along the way. Thank you for making our time in Florence unforgettable!

This place is a 12 out of 10. The service was spectacular but our bartender / server elevated the experience. He even brought us behind the bar and explain how to make his artisan Mixology drinks. If you want a true Mexology experience, you must come to this restaurant.
