Took the €25 tour of facility and wine tasting. It was amazing!
I was super amazed at the sustainability this winery had with their solar lights and green vertical wall.

🌱I hope they can also come to realize how animal agriculture affects environmental issues and stop serving meat and duck at their restaurant. A plant based menu would really complete your sustainability stance 100%.

We stayed for 3 days in June. Such a beautiful place in Montepulciano. Very quiet. Breackfast was really good. When we left early on the last day, they sent us a big packed breakfast the day before. We also enjoyed free wine tasting session for guests.
Rooms were really clean and big. Would definitely go again.

Magical spot, went without reservation hoping to enjoy some wine and tasted the Salcheto Riserva! The winery is accessible via a gravel road so get ready for the drive but well worth the effort as you will be rewarded with amazing views of Montepulciano and surroundings! Next time I’ll be sure to book a more extensive wine tasting tour!

Absolutely incredible experience. The lunch was amazing, the winery was beautiful, and the wine was excellent. The Goose breast was one of the best dishes we had in all of Italy! Highly recommend.

We had a winery tour followed by wine tasting. We tried a few Vino Nobile di Montepulciano examples and some other organic wines made with sustainable wine production methods. The view from the restaurant and terrace were amazing.

We had a wonderful experience at Salcheto. Guided by Valentina who was amazing and explained everything wonderfully. The innovation at Salcheto is inspiring. The food felt genuine and homemade and the fact that everything was produced within one kilometer was the cherry on top and really wrapped it up. Great place. We’re looking forward to sharing the story and wine we bought with our friends and family.

Fantastic organic vineyard and staff! Great concepts! From the sustainable and organic wine practice, the architecture of their building, the ingenuity behind the reflective natural lighting, and to the braille labeling on their bottles. 👏👏

Come for the wine and food, stay for the service and staff. Valentina made our afternoon such a delight, on a rainy day, with an in depth tour of the property and their wine making process. Enjoyed a delicious lunch and amazing wine. Highly recommend.

No reservation, perfectly accommodating. Knowledgeable, friendly, and plenty of sustainability facts. Definitely a scenic and unique enoteca and vineyard. Did the 3x wine tasting and walked away with a few bottles.

An oasis of comfort, incredible wine and delectable food. Did I mention that it's also nearly completely self sustained? Yes this place (including the winery), is a poster child for sustainability. including geothermal air conditioning. In the heart of Montepulciano... we'll be back for sure.

I highly recommend this place. We stayed just for a night and it was beautiful. The rooms are modern and well appointed and stay very cool in summer. We had dinner at the winery and it was a great experience with the chef cooking only meters from us and chatting to us about the food. Only regret was not being able to stay longer, we can’t wait to go back.

Last weekend we had a wine tasting at Salcheto organic winery site. The wines that were presented with the tasting were unbelievably good. All wines made at Salcheto are organic and natural. Their organic wine assortment, together with its stunning location (full view on the village of Montepulciano) and hospitality, makes Salcheto a truly unique sustainable winery experience.

Their flagship wine is the vino nobile di montepulciano; such an elegant and balanced DOCG wine with deep flavors of red fruit.

We spent few hours here. Started with the winery tour and then we had the wine tasting. Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva was great. We also wanted to try Obvious Rosso, their natural red wine. After chilling a bit at the terrace with beautiul view of Montepulciano, we decided to have lunch. It was a lovely experience in overall.

Stunning bed and breakfast overlooking montepulciano. Design of rooms was understated but classy, the hot tubs are a great extra feature. The wine is great. And overall relaxing atmosphere made it a great stay

Not to be missed. The experience staying at Salcheto Winery is truly a spectacle. Firstly, the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. The property is absolutely stunning, with an abundance of flora & fauna, it's truly alive. The wines are excellent and the food offered is delicious with fair prices and great portion sizes.

If you're lucky enough to stay in the winehouse, the accommodation is perfect. Sizeable room with very comfortable bed, large bathroom, and beautiful views of the vineyards. The highlight of the stay is the wine barrel hot tubs overlooking the vineyard. I have visited wineries all over the world, and staying at Salcheto was truly an exceptional experience.
