Fantastic hotel for a special treat. The staff are attentive and friendly , the pool is sensational and the rooms well equipped. Dinner was very good and breakfast was sensational. Best we have had in Sicily. It is expensive compared to other restaurants/ places we stayed but as a treat would visit again!

This place is truly special. Excellent location, fine dining, superb wines and olive oil par excellence, if you're into that kind of thing. The beach club is so relaxing, with wonderful atmosphere. The views from our room of the surrounding countryside and vineyards made this an amazing stay #peaceful! All staff are extremely knowledgeable and so, so friendly. Escapism at its best and already planning our second visit. Thank you All at La Foresteria.

Beautiful inn with incredible views across vineyards to the ocean beyond. Our room was so wonderful and comfortable and I highly recommend this place. Breakfast each morning could not have been better and the staff were all helpful. My only complaint is the usual about pools in Europe are not heated so they are too cold!

The hospitality at Planeta was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and very well taken care of. Views from the pool are beautiful. The Ulmo vineyard and winery tour was great.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Giuseppe even took the time to help me find a food from my childhood. I had been looking all over Sicily for this and Giuseppe found it for me. Above and beyond

Amazing boutique hotel situated in between vineyards and herb gardens. Excellent restaurant and beach club. Very friendly and caring staff. Would always come back!

Stopped for lunch, but can definitely see the allure for a wonderful stay with La Foresteria.

The team were exceptional and patient with us as we had a few special requests and hadn't had too much time to plan. Sorted us out and were fine waiting for us to be sorted.

When it come time for lunch we loved the freshly baked bread, the wine tasting (a bottle of wine says you will buy some to take home) and nearly every single course.

The glass kitchen window is a lovely 'new-meets-old' touch as you sit under the vines and gaze out to see.

We thoroughly enjoyed dinner at this place. The service, the food, the location and the wines are absolutely world-class. The Terebinto and their Chardonnay -both made with grapes from the area - are stunning! I am surprised they don’t have at least one Michelin star…yet!

Had the most wonderful stay at La Foresteria Planeta. The location is stunning, close to the sea and perched amongst vineyards and olive groves. Stay in room 11, the view is absolutely spectacular! Service was excellent. Have the delicious tasting menu with paired wines and let Sandro, the absolute nicest Sommelier ever, share insights to the wines and food pairing. Our favourite wine was very hard to choose but the Passito di Noto dessert wine was our winner. And their olive oil was so divine it deserves a special mention! It was the most enjoyable 2 day stay for our honeymoon. October was the perfect time to visit. We will be back for sure, highly recommend! Thank you La Foresteria for your amazing hospitality.

Food and service was absolutely amazing. The location was beautiful! The Wine we loved of course as well but we did try them all already so no new surprises but still very nice. Next time we would book a night in the hotel.

We are returning customers at La Foresteria and cherish our yearly stay. Again this year was no disappointment. I appreciate how this place year on year finds new ways to improve the total experience of the stay by improving different small aspects. The breakfast is outstanding and the kitchen in general delivers at an extremely high level. I will recommend La Foresteria to everyone, solo travellers, couples for romantic getaways and families travelling with children.

I cannot describe how good this place is... top service, best food. The raw fish beats any Japanese sashimi I had in my life and the chicken beats Bresse chicken any day... I probably offend some people there😂😂😂 . Very good wine pairing, especially like the Etna sparkling wine, very mineral but mild and balanced. Would definitely go back and stay there next time.

Spectacular! I loved every aspect of this place and its food.

My husband and I spent 24 hours at this lovely resort. Loved everything; hanging out and having lunch at the beach club with its pines, dunes and crystal clear water, aperitivi by the pool, absolutely delicious six-course tasting menu with five different wines, a good night’s sleep in a beautiful room with seaview and before checking out a fabulous breakfast. All the time we felt so comfortable and pampered. Thanks to all in the Planeta team!

Top hotel location on the southern sicilian coast near Menfi and close to the beaches of Porto Palo, owned by the Planeta wine family. A magnificent infinity pool with views of the local vines. The hotel has a private villa on the beach with parasols available to guests. Rooms are spacious and give onto the herb garden. At the pool one can get lighter snacks. Service is perfect. The Ristorante is superb, I wish there were a separate Google entry for this to show that this restaurant is worth going to even if you are not staying at the hotel. On this trip, it was our best meal. A 60 Euro 4 course menu begins with a cold tomato peach and red shrimp soup reminiscent of gazpacho but very fine. Ricotta and sage ravioli followed, then small tuna served on grilled green tomato. In conclusion, a fine light cheesecake of local ricotta and sage over crumbs with cumin and pepper and a touch of lemon sauce. Remarkable restaurant!

My husband and I enjoyed the afternoon at the Planeta winery. The staff at the winery suggested that we dine at La Foresteria and they called to confirm a reservation. It evening was lovely watching the sunset over the coast from the restaurant terrace. The service and food were great. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area.

What a wonderful time we had at La Foresteria Planeta Estate! We had just spent three night at Palazzo Planeta in Palermo. We came to Sicily to begin our research for our next book "Flavour with Benefits: Sicily & Calabria." We're off to a great start. The service provided by the La Foresteria was excellent. The dining room setting was magical for both breakfast and dinner. Imagine looking down a sloping vineyard and in the distance the Mediterranean. A dream! The room was comfortable with a pretty outside sitting area and herb garden. The pool was magical - especially at sunset. The chef and kitchen staff provided excellent, and of course there was the excellent Planeta wine. The Estate is just 15 minutes away from the Selinunte archeological park and the magnificent Greek ruins. We also enjoyed the Private beach at nearby Lido Fiori. All in all a superb experience.
