Rifugio Orso Bruno

A beautiful place next to the lift. The atmosphere is friendly and pizza is just great! There is a wide choice of grappa too. Paying for the food and drink and later getting it is well organised.

I cant say about the hotel but as celiac person i can highly recommend the bar where you can eat gluten-free pizza and drink 2 different gluten-free beers (the best is daura, its best gluten free beer you can get). There were no other bars with gluten free food at the slopes in val di sole that i could find. There is one in madonna with gluten free burger but without buns, so you eat just meat and vegetables. Gluten free pizza is 11e, beer is 4.5e. Could find cheaper gluten free beer at the slopes.

Really good pizza, the view was beautiful, I could see the slopes of the Alps from the window, but it was Very crowded.

Orso Bruno is a mountaintop lodge on Monte Vigo in the middle of the Dolomites. It’s only accessible via a cable car from Commezzadura (the ride only takes a few minutes). You leave your car overnight in the parking lot at the bottom. You can arrange to be transported from the top of the cable car to the lodge in a jeep (which carries your luggage) or walk—it’s only about 20 minutes and the views are stunning.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime place. The 360 views from the lodge are amazing, and the staff is exceptionally friendly (in English). Breakfast and dinner are included, and you can buy lunch pretty cheaply as well. During the day the lodge is crowded with day hikers, but after the last cable car leaves, it’s just you and the other guests—very peaceful. There’s an excellent hot tub, sauna and steam room.

It’s a great value as well. Be sure to tip the staff! Running this place is not easy.

Wery nice and coazy place. I have to say there is the best personal ever. We have bought a coffee with desserts and on my way to table I fell dow and broke all the dishes and our order. I went to toilet to wash myself and when I came back they brought me new order for free. It was very nice from them. I will came here back for sure ❤😊

It's been almost 10 years my friends and I visit the rifugio, and always feels like home.
Most helpful staff, excellent food and an amazing location, make the Orso Bruno a great choice for your snow vacations!

Best pizza I’ve ever eaten on a ski slope! Quick service, nice views both from inside&outside. Not many lunch offers except pizza, but you’re in Italy so try and eat pizza!

Great restaurant on the top of the mountain with stunning views. You can get there by ski-lift on three sides. I recommend You to try true italian pizza. You will get it in 3 minutes if you arrive between 10 & 13 o'clock.

360 panoramic views at the top of the mountain. They have a beautiful terrace that we sat on and had a lovely lunch. Service was quick and food was yummy. We hiked all the way from the center of town at Madonna di Campiglio to the rifugio. Definitely worth the hike can’t beat the views.

I've spent the week before Christmas by myself at the Rifugio Orso Bruno and I looove it! It's the perfect place where to stay if you love skiing all day long and as a plus you will have a sauna and jacuzzi overlooking the sunset!!! I will be back always

Good dishes, prepared on the spot and in front of you. Good position and great terrace view.
Prices are below average for these kinds of places.

Old school mountain refuge with an Italian spirit. Food good. Coffee : come sempre in Italia : benissimo.

I totally recommend the pizza here. Goes very well after a few rides on Little Grizzly Black Slope, and along with a cold draught beer and a glass of Amarro Montenegro.
