The waiter services were unbeatable. The waitress even opened the door for me to go to the toilet😂
Regarding food, it was well above average but I cannot say it was perfect .
The starters were the hot appetizers. All of them were good and worthy to try.
Try the truffles but the taste of truffles was not too strong. However, they didn’t charged high price but are generous in quantity.
The slow cook beef shoulder was reasonably cook in the way that the meat was quite tender. After all, not really impressive. But the big surprise was the pan fried potatoes. They explained they were new local potatoes so that they were so creamy and tasteful. The best on my life.
We definitely come again to try different dishes.

My family and I visited Asti for a relaxing holiday. After a few days of wine-tasting and biking in the Alba/Barolo/Barbaresco vineyards, we traveled to Asti and decided to have a relaxing dinner. Therefore, we chose Campanaro and found ourselves immersed with white truffle with beef tartar, white truffle with Tangerine, white truffle with Gnocchi, and a full plate of tasty stewed boar! Ruche, the wine that the owner suggested for truffle-paring, was absolutely the gem of the dinner. This is a must go when you are in Asti!

Delicious food, good choice of wine, expert recommendations, those people know how to do it.

Special thanks for the recommended wines, which perfectly complemented the dishes.

Definitely a place for traditional local Italian dishes and wines.
If you are looking for stereotypical Italian food (tourist menu), this is not a place for you.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST !!

I live in Italy since 2018 and this is by far one of the best culinary experiences I've had in a long time. I went there with my husband for lunch. The owner and the waiters are so professional and welcoming (you can see they are passionate about what they do). The dishes were strictly typical from the territory such as wine, fresh truffle . . Having celiac disease and being a vegetarian I found a huge amount of dishes that suited and exceeded my expectations. This restaurant is certified safe for people who eat #glutenfree. If you go to Asti I vividly recommend Campanero'. From the antipasto to the desert, it is an absolute delitful experience. We will be back for sure ♥

Location is not central but parking is easy.
Michelin level restaurant, without the price.
Truffle was generously sliced right in front of us.

Although there are many good restaurants in Asti, Campanaro is the best one for me in terms of "traditional restaurant" with right ingredients and recipes considering many other restaurants try to be a bit fancy (so not clear identify) or they are more Osteria style (so service more rough). I always take the millefoglie (cheese, nuts, eggs, honey) and one more dish of the season. This time I took the truffle dish and it's quite satisfactory. Above all, they have good proposal for single glass of wine and price is quite reasonable. It takes 15 mins of walk from center Asti or even 2 mins of drive. There's no parking in front of the restaurants but across from the street. I'd say not too difficult to park. It's better to take reservations because very often they are full. I appreciate the fact that they open also on Monday when other restaurants are closed. All in all, it's a good choice for me and I've come the third time during these 2 months.

can’t recommend this restaurant enough.. it was one of the best dinner in my life. wine and food, even all the restaurant staffs... everything was perfect. If you are around or even a bit far.. just try this excellent restaurant... I am sure I will be back soon!!

Very professional staff, and superb food. The sommelier knows their stuff and can advise on a huge range of local wines.

Great evening with typical piemontese dishes. The hosts were very helpful and we had a good time with great food and wine and comfy ambience.

One of the best lunch i've ever had. Very honest prices. Extremely high quality ingredients. Family business. Busy, get a reservation. The agnolotti gobbi monferrini are made with 3 different kind of roasted meats which are cooked separately and then stuffed into the pastry: served plain, no sauce or anything else. Deliciuos very aromatic filling. Do not spoil them with olive oil! Then, carne cruda alla monferrina: topped with peeled scorzone black truffel... just look at the pic, faboulous. The wines (barolo was amazing) and desserts were also superb!

We must have been the only tourist on this Saturday night - where the place was packed with locals. The restaurant is the classic example of proud Italien food culture, with every taste carefully tuned through careful prepration and experience. We had some very interesting surprises on "wine by the glass" too and found this place to offer excellent value for money. Would truely enjoy to eat here again.
