Villa Siliqua

This was our second stay at Villa Siliqua. We love the stunning view, the beautiful garden and the peaceful surroundings. The house is perfect for a party of six. The hosts are great and they helped us organise a wonderful Sicilian dinner with a private chef. We had an amazing week.and will definitely return to Villa Siliqua!

The villa is fully equipped with everything you need, it is very spacious (both inside and outside). You have the feeling of being very secluded, yet very close to the old city.
The outdoor pool and villa front have a spectacular view of this beautiful medieval town.
The owners can be contacted at all times and thus far they were prompt in replying to our questions & requests.

We had THE MOST AMAZING TIME at Villa Siliqua! My husband and I eloped in Sicily and decided that we wanted to have our little ceremony at the Villa and that it would be a perfect location judging by the pictures we saw online. Let me tell you this, things were even better once we saw the property in person!

First, I have to say, the family that operates the Villa are amazing! They were quick to respond to all questions via email that we had before our stay. They also set us up with a private chef for the night of our wedding day. Let’s just say - that meal was the most amazing meal we have ever had from being able to select a custom menu, to the presentation, to the incredible food!

The day we arrived, we were met at the property and shown a tour of everything and were even given a sparkling wine, scacce, bread, cannoli and the most amazing fresh ricotta! The Villa is even more beautiful than the pictures!

You could easily come here with a larger family or several couples. There are two rooms with a queen bed and one with 2 double beds along with 2 bathrooms. And let’s talk about the property which is stunning! The inside of the Villa is so special and was impeccably cleaned. The grounds of the Villa were gorgeous and the view of Ragusa Ibla was breathtaking - especially at night!

We literally had the best time and it exceeded every expectation that we had. We will absolutely be back

Villa Siliqua is a truly magical place. The idyllic location is totally private whilst being only a short drive from the bars, restaurants and culture of the ancient and beautiful town of Ragusa Ibla. This elegant and impressive villa is situated on a hilltop overlooking Ragusa and comes with amazing views in all directions. It really does tick all the boxes for the most perfect stay in Sicily with its stylish pool and beautiful tropical gardens that include a wealth of jasmine, palm and carob trees. At dusk all the twinkling lights of Ragusa blend wonderfully with the atmospheric garden lighting and provide for a perfect Sicilian evening on the terrace. The villa is beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything that one could possibly need; the air conditioning was notable for its efficiency and the ability to control individual rooms.

It is a perfect holiday location in its own right as well as being ideally situated for exploring all the nearby Baroque towns and the gorgeous southern Sicilian coast.

We had such a wonderful time at Villa Siliqua. The view of Ragusa Ibla is so beautiful during the day and at night. We loved the seclusion and peace. There was also plenty of shade for the very hot weather. Very kind hosts and everything we needed for a restful week. Highly recommend.

Con internet ormai abbiamo una chiara idea delle case che scegliamo per le nostre vacanze ma questa volta ciò che abbiamo trovato è ampiamente meglio rispetto alle immagini in rete . La location è assolutamente perfetta : la casa è un ex convento pieno di storia e fascino , la ristrutturazione e’ perfetta con materiali di pregio che conferiscono alla casa uno charme assoluto . Arredata con estremo gusto , ogni particolare è curato nei minimi dettagli . Gli elettrodomestici sono al top di gamma , non manca nulla , c’è persino una affascinante lavanderia con la vista su Ragusa Ibla . Da ogni angolo della casa si gode di un paesaggio mozzafiato . Siamo arrivati di sera a Ragusa Ibla che con le sue luci sembrava un paese del presepe . La casa è posizionata in alto e quindi si può godere appieno di una vista mozzafiato a 360 gradi . Si arriva alla proprietà da un cancello che si apre su un lungo viale di ulivi : fantastico !
Dietro alla casa c’è una grande piscina ovale circondata da un giardino meraviglioso con palme , una yucca secolare , numerosi alberi , uno esteso fico d’india carico di frutti con le mille tonalità che solo la natura sa offrire ed un meraviglioso carrubo sotto il quale è piacevole riposarsi ,pranzare e cenare . Amiamo la buona cucina siciliana ma sinceramente abbiamo avuto poca voglia di uscire dalla casa essendo un posto davvero accogliente e confortevole . Che dire poi della accoglienza che ci è stata riservata ? Eravamo in ritardo di un’ora rispetto all’appuntamento concordato ed il proprietario ci ha atteso con la Sua famiglia , illustrandoci la casa e dandoci degli ottimi consigli per vivere al meglio la nostra vacanza . Nel frigo abbiamo trovato una ottima bottiglia di vino e una sac a poche colma per riempire dei cannoli deliziosi . Ci ha anche donato una bottiglia di olio fatto con le olive del vialetto della proprietà e una ottima conserva di mandarino confezionata dalla moglie del proprietario ed un vasetto di squisito miele prodotto in famiglia . Come amena curiosità , alloggerete in un luogo in cui è stato anche girato un episodio televisivo del Commissario Montalbano tratto dagli scritti di Camilleri intitolato “ Il covo di vipere “ . Potrete quindi riposarvi sul famoso divanetto rosa che è comparso nella fiction.
