Chianni Bistrò

We had an amazing experience. Best pasta we've ever had and the service of Gabrielle was perfect. Definitely a place to return to.

The waiter created the perfect table for us on our first visit to Chianni bistro, the food and atmosphere was great, we had to make a second reservation! The second time they prepared a little table with a special little stool for my girlfriend's purse, they remembered my name and it felt like special treatment, but they treat everyone special I guess. The food and drinks, again, was great. A lot of specialties from the region which makes choosing from the menu a little bit difficult but the host was happy to explain everything (twice) in very good (italian) english!

We had a great experience at this small restaurant. They spontaneously put up another table for us and the staff was lovely! The food was amazing. It’s definitely worth a visit :))

Great restaurant, highly recommended! Gabriele is very friendly and explains well the dishes. Prices are fair and quality is high.

Excellent restaurant and a must-try if you are in the area!! They have a wonderful outdoor dining space. The food was exceptional and the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They also know their wine list and offered great pairing recommendations with our meal. I am gluten and egg intolerant (not sever allergy), and the staff was able to guide me through the menu to some good entree options.

Parking is a bit difficult, but there is a small public lot at the bottom of the hill before you reach the restaurant. Once you reach the restaurant, the streets are quite narrow although you can still navigate them carefully if you want to drop anyone off and then go back and park.

High recommend and can’t wait to come back again!!

Had a wonderful evening with Gabriele and his little restaurant. He immediately made us feel at home. The food (caprese, pasta, tiramisu) was very good, the wine and the service even better.
We will definitely be back at some point in time.

Delicious food and and very familiar atmosphere. The home made pasta was absolutely amazing! When I said that I was vegetarian they prepared a little Appetizer platter without meat for me. Just a fantastic experience all together!

This place is a must if you stay near. Nonna is cooking delicious authentic food, every waiter/waitress is very polite and able to speak perfect english.

They give you recommendations about the changing menue which has a specialties beyond the normal menue. The ambiente is more than you can wish for.

If you do not make a stop here, you made a huge mistake in your life.

This place was simply amazing! Excellent food, service and atmosphere! My picky 13 year old thought she had died and gone to heaven in a cream sauce! We will visit this little gem on every holiday in Tuscany. Make reservations in advance! It is a small place and they are often fully booked. One of our favorite meals.

I unexpectedly came across this bistro in the town that I was staying. I had just been stuck in a parking lot that turned into a mud like when the Andrea Bocelli concert got rained out. It took three hours to be pulled out by tractor and by the time I got back to Chianni I was pretty hungry and wanted a good drink.

It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was full when I stuck my head in. I was greeted by Gabriele, who told me that they were full and he was sorry. Seconds after I went back out the front door he came after me and said that someone was leaving and I could have that table in just a few minutes. I was relieved.

At once when I came in and sat down I felt the warm welcome and hospitality of Gabriele, Francesco, and Leandra. They were all smiles and offered cheerful assistance. They explain the menu and the wine list and I place my order. I ordered a nice bottle of red wine, Imperioso. It paired perfectly with my pasta dish and my entrée of rabbit. In spite of the restaurant paying for my food arrived quickly and was perfectly executed and very delicious!

The decor and ambience was stylish and relaxing. It was bright and clean and the music added an upbeat classiness. I saw lots of smiling faces on the other customers and watched as the staff interacted with them. I was impressed, though the two servers were young man they expressed a social ease made the guest feel comfortable with the charm and knowledge of the menu.

At the end of the meal I ordered an espresso as I consider my dessert selection. My espresso was personally delivered by Leandra. I ask her about the desserts. She said that she recommended the tiramisu and that she made it personally. I said done deal. When it came, I was not disappointed. It certainly exceeded my expectations and had been the best tiramisu that I had had since arriving in Italy five days before. It is one of my favorite Italian so I had already had four other samples of it elsewhere. What a perfect way to end the evening. I went back to my B&B fully satisfied.

If you’re in Tuscany, I would highly recommend that you visit the quaint little town of Chianni and the Chianni Bistro. For great food and great value for you and the whole family. Be sure to ask for Leandra’s Tiramisu!

My favorite restaurant in Chainni the atmosphere, service and food cannot be beaten. Well worth a visit anytime of the year. They always make the extra effort.

The restaurant offers excellent food and wine. We were there several times and everything we ate was absolutely excellent and recommended. The service was excellent and personable. The ambiance is beautiful. It doesn't get any better than this and anything less than 5 stars would not be honest or fair. Thanks again to Andre and Francesco.

Amazing place! It is so good that during our short stay we came there twice. Dishes based on local ingredients, wide variety of wines , carefully selected. The service was top-notch, we got helped with the choice of food and wine, because there was so much to choose from! From the beginning we felt very welcomed there. Best food and service we had in 8 days traveling around Tuscany. This was our second meal in Tuscany and nothing else compared to it. I wish we'd been staying longer and could have visited again. All 3 courses were delicious and our waiter was friendly and attentive, explaining the menu to us and making wine recommendations.

What a great restaurant. In a beautiful location in the village, you will find this atmospheric, cosy and beautifully decorated Italian restaurant.
With great passion and friendliness, the waiters help you throughout the evening with choices of dishes and wines.
The food was, in a word, great. We shared a delicious antipasti board as a starter, both ate a fantastic pasta and, as a main course, two different beautiful stews. The teramisu and limoncello after completed the experience. We will definitely be back.

The best restaurant in Chianni, although they are all good. The Bistro is ahead of the others because the food is delicious yet very affordable and the service is par excellence, personalised and always efficient. It is so relaxing sitting outside , enjoying dinner and the music, but the interior of the Bistro also has a very charming decor, very Parisian. If Gnocchi is your thing, try it, the best I’ve ever had. Eat here and you won’t go wrong!

So amazing in every way. Never had a bad meal here. The only complaint is that they close m-th during off season. So I guess we need more people to make the drive and come here so that they stay open in off season.
