Food Quality: Very good food. Must try the grilled beef and anything with truffles.

Reservation: You must make a reservation. In August, it seems you need to book 2 days in advance because it is a small restaurant with limited seating.

Overall Experience: Despite the wait and effort, it was well worth it because the food is very tasty.

La Pentolaccia is a gem in Montepulciano that keeps you coming back for more. We enjoyed perfectly cooked beef - both medium rare and well done - to suit different preferences. The appetizers were a delightful start to our meal.
The food was so impressive that we returned the very next day to indulge again. This time, we made sure to save room for dessert, which did not disappoint.

We lucked out and were able to get a table as walk-ins when the restaurant opened. That is unusual here, so make reservations.

This is a lovely, comfortable, small dining room. The hostess/owner (?) is so nice and welcoming you will feel like a special guest.

Food was excellent.

This place was highly recommended and I can see why. The waitress with the most beautifully welcoming smile (long dark hair) greeted us like old friends and promptly served us with great wine and a beautiful lunch of pasta.
It’s usual that tourists are given second rate service because there’s no need to have return business. Not here, we felt appreciated and were provided with top service and a cuisine equal to its high standard. Please maintain this extraordinary service.

We got lucky and got the only walk in table available. We were very glad we did. The service was extremely welcoming and food was very good. The prosciutto and creamed potato was very tasty. The primi pasta course is priced extremely generously for the quality. The truffle pasta was excellent and my wife's picci Bolognese was very good. We also shared a steak as a secondi. I slightly regret asking for medium rare as it was a but more medium than rare but the flavor and tenderness were still excellent. We were extremely happy with this meal and the very friendly service.

It is an outstanding restaurant run by just two amazing ladies… the vibes of the restaurant are fun. Food is very hearty. We tried red snapper , and veal meat. It was amazing!

We got seated without a reservation and the place was nearly full. Owner was running around like crazy but still provided good service.

Prices were very good and the food was even better. We really enjoyed the truffle pasta and ragu

A gem hidden in plain sight, best restaurant experience I’ve had in Italy.
The atmosphere is right, the prices are fair and the food is incredible! And to top it off the tiramisu was the best I ever had!

I would recommend to reserve a table as many people were turned back as it was full for the whole time we were there.

This place is just amazing! Food was delicious (beef, potatoes and salad), typical local dessert cantucci e vin santo was tasty and the service so nice and kind! Definitely great value for the money!

We arrived later after a drive from Salerno. I enjoyed a pork loin roast, ravioli and variety of wines. Our group was impressed with the food and service.

We had a fantastic 3 course lunch at La Pentolaccia. We were lucky enough to get one of the last 2 free tables, I'd recommend reserving if you plan on visiting. It's a relatively small restaurant but the food, service and atmosphere were great.

Starters of onions and cheese on bread, and the boar sausage platter. Mains of Tuscan stew and sliced fillet steak with tomatoes and rosemary. Desserts of cheesecake, and Cantucci and Vin Santo. All were excellent, highly recommended. They have an excellent wine selection.

Wow, this was an amazing dinner experience! They had many delicious vegetarian and vegan options. The prices are very affordable, especially in comparison to other restaurants in Montepulciano. The service was very friendly too! Highly recommend!

Delicious traditional Italian trattoria. So good we had to come back twice. The owner is a lovely lady and was very friendly. Abosultely must go if your in Montepulciano. It's full every night so make sure you try to book in advance or earlier in the day.
