They have many sandwich options and you can customize them as you wish, take out or add things.

We tried a few options and we really liked the Fight Club (added grana cheese), Lo Spaccone (added some scrambled eggs) and The Mexican we chose. I recommend you add some fresh vegetables to your sandwich if it doesn't have it in already.

The size is also big, so it can stand as a lunch due to that. Highly recommend.

The grilled sandwiches made by this restaurant can only be described as "a whole new level of sorcery"! They are simply delicious. They bread was toasted to perfection making the outside crunchy without flaws while preserving the insides amazing flavorful ingredients!
I personally recommend eating at this place and i ensure it'll fit all what you desire! Price is more than suitable for the portion that honestly exceeded my expectation!

Very beautiful experience! When we went there we saw a very comfortable place with many services such as phone chargers, a lot of seats.. and of course Luca, that was very friendly with us, serving very good food for a good price (a wide range of tasty toasts!). He offers also FOR FREE a map on the emails so as to visit Bologna in 1 day! The food tastes perfect too. I would definitely recommend it,for everybody!

Great place, the owner is very kind and welcoming. The food is good. There are phone chargers on the wall, ready to charge your almost-dead battery. There is also a wide range of different, innovative and tasty types of toasts to choose from. I like it. :)

This was a wonderful experience, as the food was incredibly delicious, very generous in size, and well presented. The staff spoke perfect English and were super helpful, and the fact that there was free WiFi and charging points (including cables!) made this a very pleasant experience. If you are in Bologna this is the perfect place to get lunch and take a load off your feet. 👍

This review is mad late but better late than never. We loved Breaking Toast. We stopped in everyday we were in Bologna. Amazing vegan sandwiches, lovely atmosphere and great staff, just perfect. Would highly recommend and also Bologna in general, it's an beautiful city. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was our most memorable meal in Bologna due to the wonderfully welcoming and gracious host, Lucca. They have a very wide selection of toasts. If you don't like what's on the menu, the owner was happy to make substitutions. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! The Nutella toast was a huge hit with our kids.

Delicious sandwiches. Anyone who is rating differently clearly has way to high of standards and expects 5 star restaurant quality. If your hungry and in the area, just go. I had the sandwich of the day (can’t remember the exact name of the sandwich) it had roast turkey and was fantastic!

Excellent! We went here on the basis of other reviews within one hour of arriving in Bologna. The owner Luca is a perfect host / travel guide / unofficial ambassador for Bologna / your new best friend! We felt instantly welcome. The food was amazing too, suitable for a wide range of tastes including vegetarian and vegan.

Very wide selection of topping and sandwiches are huge - could probably split between two but will likely regret giving up that other half!
Owner is super friendly and personable going so far as creating a suggested walking tour around Bologna accessible via google maps and offering to replace my sandwich if I didn’t love it!
Prices very reason and fantastic quality

Toast was tasty but I'd even go there only for the personal touch. Especially, if it is your first time is Bologna, I highly recommend you to start your visit here ;) Oh, and take your time to eat the toasts on site as they are recommended to be eaten fresh.

Great street-food experience!
There is a huge list of sandwiches with delicious and fresh ingredients. The owner is also very friendly and when he noticed we were tourists, he invited us inside and gave us many tips and a virtual map of Bologna showing the most important places.

The best welcome to Bologna and definitely a must try out if you're in the city. They have many options both with meat and vegetarian / vegan. I ordered a sandwich with eggplant and hummus and it was delicious- come here hungry as the portions are big. The owner is so nice, friendly, and helpful, giving us free water and even offering to exchange our sandwiches if we didn't like them. Amazing hospitality!! It also has free charging points and wifi.
