Bistrò del Mare

I had gnocchi with sea bass out of these world. The gnocchi were small so your mouth held there rich flavor of the fish and creamy gnocchi. The sauce was light, mostly small quantity of chopped fresh tomatoes, fresh parsley, and light olive oil. Too bad I didn't take a picture before I ate it. I couldn't wait for it. Lol

Excellent food and service. Americans should read up on the difference between service in Italy and the US. Friendly waiter. Greeted at the door. My wife has to be gluten free and was accommodated well beyond just gluten free pasta. Great food, prepared well.

First impression is important, we were met by the restaurant owner at the front door with no reservation, as it was still early (8.15) in Italy we were ushered in to choose our own table, our waiter was attentive and informative, the wine he chose for us was excellent, the food was first class, the best seafood we have had in Italy, the owner again attended to our final bill and to enquire about our experience, very friendly and it seemed genuinely interested in our comments, decor is fresh and clean and plenty of space between tables. Highly recommend.

This was our second visit to Bistro del Mare, the first back in April 2018. Our memory of our first meal was that every dish we had was delicious. Our second visit was every bit as delightful. We started with the Cous Cous of Seafood appetizer, which was simply out of this world. My wife and I then argued over which of our entrees were better, the Gnocchi Pasta with Sea Bass and Lemon, or the Sea Bass in Isolana Style. Truth be told, they were equally delicious. We ended with the gloriously rich Chocolate Tart with Fruit Passion and Raspberry. It was once again the best meal that we have had in the week we have spent in Florence, and that is very high praise indeed. I have had many meals at twice the price that weren't half as good. Bistro del Mare is a true gem, at an incredibly affordable price. Try it, you'll not be disappointed. It is a must visit for us when we come to Florence.

Greeted by Claudio Corsoni as we walked into this magnificent Bistro that used to be a Palace in the heart of Florence. We were given one of the best table and to follow a meal to remember.

From starters like Crocchetta di Gamberi to mains like Branzino all' Isolana, Bistro del Mare has a lot to showcase regarding Tuscan cuisine. Detail after detail the food exceed expectations and their selected wine list is a completely bonus for a Michelin star restaurant.

Worth visiting if you are heading towards Florence.

Fabulous seafood restaurant. Wife and I had probably the best Tuna we have ever eaten here. Friendly, welcoming staff. Recommend.

A pleasant respite from the crowds along the Arno - I really enjoyed the prawns here, as well as the tagliolini pasta with Bottarga cream of courgettes and almonds.

My wife and I loved this restaurant so much that we visited for dinner a second time during our honeymoon. Can’t wait to go back.

Un'ottima scoperta. Già all' entrata mi sono sentita accolta come a casa. Un' atmosfera calda e piacevole. Il ristorante pulito ed organizzato nel minimo dettaglio. Cameriere gentilissimo e preparato ad accogliere esigenze e desideri. Molto attenti ad intolleranze ed allergie ( il mio ragazzo è celiaco) ed è fondamentale per me la sicurezza e certezza del posto. Il pesce era fresco , cucinato deliziosamente e impiattato come fosse un arte. Vino della casa ottimo e qualità superiore. Prezzo fin troppo corretto per quello che ho mangiato. Consiglio vivamente e tornerò.

In un palazzo antico su un lungarno di Firenze ha sede questo ristorante elegante d'impronta molto contemporanea.
Sono stata qui a cena con mio marito e siamo stati divinamente. Tutto eccellente, dall'antipasto al dolce. Piatti innovativi e artistici.

La location è situata vicino al Ponte Vecchio, si mangia molto bene e il personale è molto accogliente

Ho mangiato un antipasto di.polpo freschissimo ed un filetto di orata delizioso.
I dolci sono.sublimi.
Ottimo vino (consiglio quello della val.d' Aosta a tiratura limitata).
Servizio impeccabile, gentile e professionale.
Il proprietario, se non erro Claudio, è una di quelle persone che ci staresti a chiacchierare una notte intera per arrivare ad essere più colto e più esperto la mattina dopo.
Se proprio vogliamo trovare un neo, capisco che Firenze non è Barcellona, l' orario di chiusura ( ci è stato detto di non arrivare oltre le 2220), è eccessivamente anticipato, soprattutto in piena estate.
Ad ogni modo, eravamo in sette, antipasto secondo, dolci e soprattutto 5 bottiglie di vino, abbiamo speso 55 eur a persona.
Anche sotto questo aspetto, consigliabilissimo.
