I contacted the Comune in Collesano by email and asked if I could stop in and if they could help me help locate documents for my maternal grandparents who were born there in the 1890's. I received an immediate email response from the mayor and an offer to help. Upon arriving we received the warmest of welcomes. Everyone we met from the receptionist to the mayor could not have been nicer. We would especially like to thank Mayor Cascio, Senora Culotta, Senora Giallombardo and Filippo who spent hours with us trying to locate documents. They were kind, warm, patient and generous. If only all governmental workers and officials approached their jobs in this manner!!!

Tipico paesino di montagna, molto pittoresco. Gente gentile e disponibile. Da visitare per le decine di scorci caratteristici di un borgo medievale.

Avevo chiesto un intervento "urgente" da parte di questo Comune per la voragine in foto.. questo evento ha isolato la mia famiglia compresa di 2 bimbe piccolissime per più giorni... Alla fine abbiamo risolto tra vicini... A nostre spese .. forse non hanno chiaro il concetto di emergenza...
