After walking for a bit and looking through what felt like an ocean of restaurants, we decided to sit down here and I was pleasantly surprised. Really nice place with amazing food and drinks! The best Aperol I had so far on my visit to Sicily! The Eggplant was amazing and the prices were honestly fair considering the quality of the food. I definitely recommend it!!

Very good service and Great Cocktails so we visited it twice!
The Negroni was one of the best I have ever had.
Aperol Spritz was great too.
In general they are using great alcohol quality.

A pinsa style Cunzatizzi with figs, honey, mint and pepato cheese was tasty and excellent with the cocktails. Highly recommended.

Probably the best restaurant experience I've had. Great service with friendly staff, best pasta I've ever had, and so accommodating - vegetarian dishes on the menu but also happy to make many dishes vegan. Came back again today and we got a different vegan dessert, just as good as yesterday.

Will come back any time I'm in Sicily.

Modern, refined, and very welcoming atmosphere, in a beautiful location on Via Dei Crociferi.
The restuarant has a short menu, yet it covers brilliantly all the local tastes and flavours, accompanied by a great selection of Sicilian wines.
MAKE SURE TO BOOK AHEAD OF TIME, AS THE PLACE IS OFTEN PACKED.
A must-try is the cunzatizzu, which can be ordered as a pizza (with the same ingredients).
The staff is very helpful.

2nd visit 6 years later!
I just had to revisit on my recent trip to the city. Menu has changed naturally - but I did see that a salad I remember still on the menu, pear / cheese - still very yummy. I came twice and had chargrilled veg platter which was also very good. Vibe and staff super attentive and friendly. Glad to see the place still thriving and open after 6 years ❤

One of THE best places I’ve eaten in. My brother & I visited here in October 2018 & we loved it so much we visited pretty much every evening. Food is so so tasty. Seriously some of the best flavour combinations I’ve eaten. I love this place so much. I wish I could have this in London! Seriously YUM

Pleasantly surprised having had drinks and small appetizer snacks. Lovely and attentive service. Greeted by Toby, a friendly host from Nigeria. We had a pleasure learning about stories he shared with us about Catania. We had a few glasses of wine and delicious and amazingly well prepared appetizers. Have a look at the pictures. Amazing granite!! The limone and pistachio were bursting with fresh flavor. Well located with outdoor seating and cute air conditioned interior. The staff is also very friendly.

Very nice place to chill out with friends. They have a fair amount of different local beers, included APA and IPA. You have to try their specialty: "cunzatizzi", kind of pizza-bread, very tasty! It is better to come here in the week days, avoid the weekend, since they have a low number of seats and you will likely wait a bit to take a seat and be served.

Excellent - fresh, modern Spanish cuisine. We had the tacos and baccalà polpette to start - then the pulled pork sandwich - all delicious- Served in a pleasant outdoor setting. Well done!

Buatta is one of the most cool fusion restaurant where Italian or better Sicilian food roots meets the best Mediterranean tastes. All of this takes you to unexpected tastes and food experiences, surrounded with some of the most beautiful ancient part of Catania. Staff is really cool. Closets are clean

Buatta is one of Catania's simplest restaurants coupled with a thoughtful craft beer list. Both indoor and outdoor seating provide options during varying weather conditions. The food is primarily focaccia style individual pizzas alongside traditional lasagna and seasonal dishes; all is quite tasty. I particularly liked the beer cheesecake and grilled vegetable plate.

Very interesting food and cozy atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and enhanced the experince in a positive manner. Good option for vegetarians and people who enjoy trying something different.

Nice place on the historical Coniferi Street, a nice different scene from typical Silican seafood restaurant. Recommend their vegetarian starter dish, love the way they cook the zucchini, also like their dry white and Buatta spritz. Friendly staff who speak good English.

Small trendy restaurant packed with amazingly creative and tasty food. Lovely Sicilian white wine and mouth-watering desserts. What more can you ask for? Well, the staff are very friendly too! The prices are very well ajusted to the quality and creativeness of the food. One of the best things Catania has to offer. Well worth a try.
