Great experience! Better go there with an adventurous group of friends! The guide is cool but only speaks Italian!
I recommend that you make a reservation if you go there with a group and planning to visit the whole Grotte

Amazing! There is a parking lot with paid parking for 3€. Tickets were 12€ for adults and 10€ for kids which includes the tour which lasts about an hour. Inside the cave is damp, so be sure to wear walking shoes such as sneakers. It is about 1-1.5km walk in the cave, but not a hard walk at all. It is beautiful! Definitely worth it.

Loved it! Absolutely amazing experience. First time seeing this type of grotto. Oxygen levels are different there, at the end of tour started feeling lightheaded and had shortness of breath. Other than that was really something extraordinary to see.

Highly recommend for all nature lovers. Touristic trail is very easy and could be done in sandals (but I would recommend better shoes anyway). You can't visit caves by your own, there are 6 guided tours per day (summer season). Tours are in Italian, but you can rent audio-guide for €2 or pre-download audio-guide to your phone in advance for free.

Great cave structure. Wish I would have done the four hour tour. It has large enough caverns that you shouldn't get claustrophobic. After the cave I highly reccomend heading up to the town to wonder the tiny streets and experience Italian life from decades ago. Very wonderful. Only caves we have been in where they let you take pictures. If you are not an Italian speaker get the audio guide. It is worth the two euro.

A very large and beautiful cave. We used the audio guide which was good for English speakers.

Friendly guide! Thank you for the exciting tour! However unfriendly and ignorant bar keeper.

Excellent and easy tour. English audio device made everything very interesting. The "Tourist" hike was about 1 hour and very well lit. We plan on going back for the Amatuer tour (helmets, head lamps, etc!)

Lovely caves, not crowded in October and downloadable audio guide perfect for us foreigners. Highly recommend this side trip if around Agropoli area

It's a prehistoric cave, created by water with many stalactites, columns and stalagmites. The words can't picture the great variations of shapes and colours that can be seen inside. As I walked through it I was turning my head constantly, as each turn revealed some unexpected beauty, different angles made the rocks look differently, reflect the light in a different way to create another magnificent impression.

Definitely a place to visit, even though it's not close to sea or highway, so you'll probably need to go specifically to Castelcivita to see the cave. But don't hesitate, you won't regret seeing the cave.
