La minuscola chiesetta fronteggia l’imponente complesso del monastero di Santa Scolastica, arroccata su uno sperone di roccia a strapiombo sulla vallata, nel luogo in cui San Benedetto ricevette, dal monaco Romano, l’abito monastico.
La chiesetta è ordinariamente chiusa al pubblico, per la visita occorre rivolgersi ai monaci di Santa Scolastica.
