Sapori dei Calanchi

I can’t possibly say enough about this wonderful restaurant and the even more wonderful people who run it; Loretta and Norberto.

The food: Plate after plate of amazing food came out of the kitchen. Every single Item with which we were presented was simply amazing. By the fourth or fifth time Signor Norberto emerged from the kitchen with a tray of food, we were all stuffed, saying we couldn’t eat any more… though, somehow, we did, as the food was excellent.

The staff: There appears to be a total of two employees. Loretta and Norberto, the owners of the establishment. What a marvelously sweet, gracious couple they are.

Loretta prepares the food, and Norberto attentively ensures that the guests have everything they need. One of our group doesn’t particularly like wine, preferring beer, instead. Norberto informed him that they don’t serve beer. Not long after that, Norberto slipped out the door, and returned with a large bottle of Peroni, just for our friend. What a breath of fresh air from the typically poor to mediocre service of today’s restaurants.

After dinner, Loretta and Norbert sat around the table with us and chatted until almost midnight. Although they spoke no English, and we spoke only a few words of Italian, between using translation apps on our phones, playing charades, and other forms of communication, we were able to make ourselves understood by each other.

It all made for a wonderful evening; one I’ll never forget. If you find yourself in Civitella D’agliano, do yourself a HUGE favor and dine here. You will not regret it!

Oh, make a reservation! I believe they select their food and plan their menu based on their expected guests for that evening.

This place is amazing! The hospitality is only outdone by the fabulous food! If you haven't been, get there. Everyone is so gracious, the presentation of the food is perfect and the flavors are beyond belief.

One of the best restaurants we ate in Italy! They kept bringing dishes to our table, each one tastier than the other. Very high quality traditional food. Highly recommend

Abbiamo mangiato in questo piccolissimo ristorante durante il cammino della via dei Tusci.
I titolari sono persone d'altri tempi con l'amore per quel che fanno nel cuore e lo trasmettono ai loro clienti.
Le pietanze preparate dalla signora sono come quelle che fa la "mamma", ti senti a casa tua e coccolato.
Se avanza qualcosa, li metti nei ciotoli e te li porti via.

L’idea di base è che non siete in un ristorante. Siete da Loretta e Norberto. Il menù è fisso e comprende 3/4 antipasti, primo, secondo, gelato. Tutto cucinato bene a partire da ottimi ingredienti.
La cosa più importante però sono i proprietari che trasformano una cena in un’occasione per conoscersi e parlare di un territorio bellissimo.
Io sono celiaco e la signora Loretta ha preparato il pane fresco per me.

Posto veramente unico! I proprietari sono persone squisite che ci hanno “coccolato” dall’antipasto al dolce. A fine cena ci siamo trovati a chiacchierare intorno al tavolo proprio come ad una cena di famiglia! Cibo squisito! Posto davvero consigliato!

Ambiente familiare, piccolo e accogliente, la proprietaria ci ha preparato un'antipasto molto abbondante, di salumi, formaggi, bruschette ecc. , tre assaggi di primi tra cui amatriciana, carbonara e gricia, tutto cucinato in modo eccellente, anche la carne era buona, idem il dolce. I proprietari davvero molto simpatici e carini, disponibili, gentili, che dire, lo consiglio vivamente. P.S. telefonare prima in quanto la proprietaria cucina su ordinazione

È un’esperienza di accoglienza e di convivialità molto diversa da quella che si fa in un consueto ristorante. È come essere accolti in casa. Il cibo è ottimo e l’attenzione è alta anche con i celiaci.

Cosa dire.... La signora è gentilissima, le porzioni abbondanti e si tratta di vera cucina casalinga!

Lungo il percorso della Via dei Tusci, siamo stati accolti per la cena dai proprietari che ci hanno fatto sentire come a casa oltre ad affrirci ottimo cibo. Bravi!

Posto a conduzione familiare, cibo abbondante ed ottimo.
Il menù proposto è preparato con qualità ed attenzione ed è quindi richiesta la prenotazione.
Rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente.

Si consiglia di chiamare prima, ma poi si viene accolti come a casa! Cucina ottima, personale gentilissimo e ambiente raccolto. Sicuramente consigliato!

Consigliatissimo! Personale cordialissimo e cucina veramente fantastica. Se volete mangiare la vera cucina tipica fatta in casa e con passione dovete fermarvi!

Tappa di viaggio tra Civita di Bagnoregio e Orvieto, assolutamente da provare i Sapori dei Calanchi, piccolo ristorante a conduzione familiare. Ottima cucina e calorosa premura per il cliente.

atmosfera calda, luogo accogliente, ospitalità da dieci e lode. Cucina tipica locale, cibi preparati con cura e con materie prime di 1° scelta.

Nonostante che il ristorante fosse chiuso ci ha aperto e cucinato per noi piatti semplici ma squisiti tutto a km zero la signora super simpaticissima ci ha offerto di tutto 👍🌝
