Il Giardino del Sole

In the countryside of Sicily, between Catania and Siracusa, there is this dream of a farmstay called il Giardino del Sole. With my wife and 2yrs old daughter we went for our dear friends wedding, and fell in love with the place. Family owned and run, behind the reception there are pictures from where they started 14yrs ago, and to see what they have build together today is absolutely incredible!! They have thought about literally everything. The bungalows and rooms are very clean and tidy, all with air conditioner and tv, wifi coverage is everywhere. There is a playground for the little ones just next to the swimming pool! The attention to detail is almost overwhelming, the beauty of the old family's furniture and the porcelain from Caltagirone in the dining room look like they came out of a dream. I could have spent hours just looking at every detail and wondering about the story behind them. The food is amazing on every meal, from the homemade jams of orange and passion fruit with brioches and free range eggs for breakfast, passing by the deliciousness of the every single dish that comes out of the kitchen, to some of the best wood fire oven pizzas I have ever tasted in my life. The pistacchio mortadella pizza was outstanding!! The staff is professional, on point, and ready to fulfill every request. The hosts, Marco and Sign. Enza are extremely helpful, professional, always present with problem solving skills to envy, and we couldn't compliment them enough. Our friends wedding was made even more magical thanks to their incredible efforts. We really fell in love with the place and with the beautiful family that runs it! We strongly recommend it and can't wait to be back one day!

I didn't stay in a room here so I can’t accurately comment . I had dinner here for a dinner wedding reception. I paid a little extra for them to decorate with flowers and candles and it was perfect . Dinner was great too . It was a perfect night .

The Giardino del sole offers a tranquil location for a nice family holiday. I was one of the first clients which I visited the place 15 years ago. Today I still find the location and the service as one of the best in Sicily. just a few kilometres way from Catania and alot of shopping centres not to mention Etna which is a great place to visit as it is the most active volcano in the med.

We just came from a fantastic weekend at il giardino del sole the stuff is excellent the place is breathe taking the food superb and what would say about the farm the ride with the horses that view you brought tears to my eyes we definitely come again to make our holiday memorable I would like to say thank u for the wonderful experience

Great value, ( people who complain want 5* for 3 * prices ) it's a farm, fresh products , family staff very friendly can not enough for you, few small problems on arrival , but ... fixed straight away, pizzas fantastic, Al la cart not so good.
Don't know why swimming pool caps needed
? , & if the twin beds could be tied together for double , would stop falling down the hole.

Fabulous lunch menu, prices are beyond fair and reasonable for the serving size, portions and variety. The service was excellent with perfect timing between courses. Not rushed or too slow, everything tasted very good, well seasoned and great options for every guest in our party. We will be back Grazie mille 💗

Great place to stay and a good spot for a first night stop having arrived at Catania airport. Do use a Sat Nav - longitude and latitude required. A great artistic couple run the Agriturismo - the food is very good and in late autumn the orange grove is at its best.

So much fun! Great variety of animals to see (cattle, goats, sheep, horses, birds, donkeys), amazing food with large portions, and the most kind and knowledgeable staff. Must visit!!

We had stayed at il giardino del sole rooms was very nice and clean staff was very nice and helpful and the foos was really delicous also there is a farm with lots of animlas

Ideal for families with children as it has a lovely pool area, a small playground with swings and a farm with animals.

Abbiamo passato una serena domenica in quest'agriturismo in cui abbiamo pranzato e trascorso la giornata in piscina e a contatto con gli animali. Abbiamo apprezzato molto la piscina e il cibo servitoci. Il pasto è abbondante e vario e con prodotti del territorio. L'acqua della piscina è leggera e gradevole e sono comode anche le sdraio con gli ombrelloni. Abbiamo fatto un giro in fattoria e abbiamo potuto vedere cavalli, uccelli, mucche, asini, cani, maiali e tanti altri animali. È stata una bella esperienza!

Ci tengo a recensire questo luogo perché ieri prima di andare ho letto varie recensioni contrastanti e onestamente ci sono voluta andare nonostante non ero molto convinta per quello che avevo letto, invece sono stata colpita in positivo. Premetto che non abbiamo utilizzato le stanze ma solo il servizio piscina pomeridiano e la pizza. Intanto accoglienza chiara e gentile . La piscina non molto affollata, c'è l' obbligo di cuffia, una doccia( aperta ) ed sorvegliata da un ragazzo molto gentile e discreto, lui stesso gestisce un piccolo chioschetto se avete bisogno di caffè, snack, bibite o stuzzichini vari. L'apertura pomeridiana va dalle 15 alle 19, adiacente alla piscina ci sono le docce (chiuse), il bagno e gli spogliatoi praticamente tutto quello che serve per sistemarvi e andare a cena . Prima di andare a cena ci hanno suggerito il giro col cavallo ( a pagamento ) per i bambini e la visita in fattoria ( compresa nella quota piscina/pizza) molto carina soprattutto per i più piccoli. Arriviamo alla cena , abbiamo ordinato 2 tipi di patatine classiche fritte e Chips BUONISSIME perché fresche e non congelate, pizza davvero buona dall'impasto al formaggio e servizio veloce e gentile. Servono l'acqua depurata , e le bibite coca o birra FREDDE xké messe in cella frigo , abbiamo chiesto apposta perché ultimamente ovunque trovo tutto caldo. Unica pecca LE ZANZARE 😞 ATTREZZATEVI io purtroppo ero sprovvista di spray anti zanzare , xké dalle 19 alle 20:30 circa sono davvero tante, e se posso dare un consiglio al titolare io farei apparecchiare dentro con l'aria condizionata nelle sere più calde. Per il resto lo consiglio vivamente,

Posto veramente incantevole, immerso nella natura ideale per chi vuole staccarsi dal trambusto della città.
I proprietari veramente gentili in grado di farti sentire a casa tua,personale attento e pronto nelle tue esigenze lo consiglio vivamente.
Camera pulita e comoda, ottimo cibo dalla colazione alla cena grazie di vero cuore ho trascorso dei giorni bellissimi
