Camping Castellania Del Lago D'Orta

As hikers from the Netherlands we were surrounded with Italian families around this time but what a great spot for tents, nice couple and the woman helped us out in English so nicely. We had a lovely hike, such a green part in Italy and if you like food as much as we do you have a lot of nice spots there! And, for once in a lifetime, it’s actually honestly literally next to the lake! A lovely spot to swim in the morning or after a long walk.

We did a lot of SUP (Stand Up Paddling). The Isola di Giulio is just 1.2 km away and a great SUP destination.

The campground is a beautiful and (during the week) quiet place.

Saturday and Sunday the campground awakes with all the Italians who have an engine propelled recreational water vessel. Do not experience any silence during the weekend.

The office takes no credit cards, only cash.

Small camping next to the lake. Grassy areas that are perfect for tents and small campers. Also some tent spots right at the water's edge. Great view of the lake and if you swim out maybe 10 meters you can see the famous island. Small café with nice coffee and WiFi. There is a small community of Italians on the camping and the atmosphere is pleasant.

What an amazing spot. But don't expect a traditional camp site for the whole family. It's more a boat storage community meets small-scale Italian pensionado community meets international lost travellers camp site. Amazing, magical views of the lake on a small strip on the water, with boat piers to dive from or eat breakfast on. Free fast wifi, which works at the reception/bar but less so at the spots themselves, except when you're lucky like we were. Toilets clean, water warm.

I consider this place a hidden gem, but we did get lucky with our spot, weather and relatively quiet time of year. (mid-june)

Beautiful view, close to the lake, friendly owner who is willing to think with you for solutions, the water was really clear with a lot of fish. Only thing about this place is the muskitos, there are A LOT OF THEM

A little paradise, if you like it simple. If not, you could go next door where you spend more for a night than here for two weeks.

Kleinschalige camping aan de rand van het Ortameer. Een drietal kleine plaatsen direct aan het meer en op een wat hoger gelegen veldje nog een aantal plaatsen. Geen vaste plekken, je staat door elkaar. Overal een prachtig uitzicht op het meer. Schoon sanitair. Minder geschikt voor caravans.

Campeggio molto accogliente grazie alla simpatia e alla grande disponibilità dei proprietari Paola ed Eraldo. Nulla di sofisticato, è adattissimo a chi cerca relax in un luogo incantevole e che gode della semplicità delle piccole cose: cappuccino e brioche al mattino o una birretta prima di cena, il tutto vista lago. Servizi igienici puliti e recenti. Possibilità di accesso al lago (anche con kayak sup ecc), spiaggetta incantevole.

Chouette petit camping. Les installations sont simples mais propres. Il y a une dizaine d’emplacements. Il y a une petite plage et un accès direct au lac. On peut louer kayak et bateaux sur place. Le camping est à deux pas du centre de Pella et de la navette qui va vers Orta et l’île San Giulio. Merci pour l’accueil!

On a passés qu'une nuit mais le camping vraiment très bien. Les sanitaires très propres et les prioritaires très gentils. L'accès à la petite plage très calme. Par contre faut pas rester dehors après le coucher de soleil...les moustiques qui attaquent sans pitié..

Minuscolo e delizioso campeggio pied dans l'eau sul lago d'Orta proprio di fronte all'isola e due passi da Pella. Dispone di spiaggetta privata per mettere comodamente in acqua natanti vari. Piazzole con vista insuperabile sul lago. Vi accoglieranno i gentili e simpatici proprietari che vi metteranno subito a vostro agio. TOP

Traumhaft gleich am klaren Wasser das Zelt aufzuschlagen. Äußert angenehmes Personal und ordentliche Sanitäranlagen. Hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen.

Saubere Sanitäranlagen. Alles corona konform. Wir wurden sogar beim einchecken nach einer Impfung gefragt. Sehr Schöner Platz. Die Einheimischen Camper in ihren Hütten sind unten. Und auf einem kleinen Podest paar Meter entfernt die Camper. Viele deutsche. Was sehr angenehm war. Es ist sehr still! Und man hat einen super Ausblick. Der eigene Strand ist der Hammer. Es ist ein Stück direkt vorm Campingplatz sowie ein kleiner Ausläufer rechts davon der etwas versteckt ist, der jedoch nur für die Camper ist. Wir sonnten uns da zwei Tage lang mit nur zwei anderen Leuten. Sehr angenehm mal nicht in so einer großen Batterie an liegen zu liegen! Wir würden eindeutige wieder kommen! Auch der Preis von 27€ ist unschlagbar!

Super schöner Campingplatz mit freundlicher Managerin. Die Sanitäranlagen sind komplett neu und sehr sauber. Direkter Zugang zum See. Hauptsächlich sind hier Dauercamper, welche sehr freundlich sind. Der Teil für die Kurzzeitcamper ist klein aber fein. Hier ist der Platz erhöht und man hat eine super Sicht auf den See. In manchen Rezensionen wird hier von Lärm gesprochen, ich kann nicht wirklich nachvollziehen woher der kommen sollte. Unbedingt das Eis im Ort probieren und eine Pizza liefern lasse! 😋
Zusammenfassend: Toller Platz und nur zum Weiterempfehlen!

Camping met een verscheidenheid aan plaatsen voor een kleine tent. Wij kregen een prachtige plek aan het water toegewezen. De camping is verder erg basic. Alle nodige voorzieningen zijn echter op loopafstand in het dorp aanwezig.

Wij hebben een leuke tijd gehad op deze kleine camping aan een prachtig meer. Wij werden vriendelijk verwelkomt door de eigenaars, en vanwege onze baby kregen we een schaduwrijke plek toegewezen. Met de mensen op het campingveld hadden we leuk contact, in Pella kun je lekker eten en we hebben dagelijks genoten van het zwemmen in het meer. Verschillende keren kwamen er lieve Italiaanse oma's langs om te kijken bij de baby ;-) Ook mochten we gebruik maken van de koelkast. Minpunt: er zitten erg veel muggen. Smeer je 's avonds dus goed in met Deet, neem spray en muggenkaarsen mee. Wij zijn de eerste avond flink gestoken.

Sehr schöner, ruhiger Campingplatz. Wir waren mit dem Zelt auf der oberen Wiese mit Seeblick, die wir unter der Woche ganz alleine hatten (außerhalb der Schulferien). Erst am Wochenende kamen weitere Camper, trotzdem war nicht viel los. Wir waren die einzigen Deutschen. Der Platz ist ohne Schnickschnack, außerdem mit sehr sauberen sanitären Anlagen. Für 10 Euro pro Stunde konnten wir ein Kajak mieten und auf dem See paddeln. Definitiv zu empfehlen, wenn man keine Animationen oder sonstiges möchte.
