Bistrot Bella Vita

We wandered into this bistro on Easter Sunday on a recommendation from Lonely Planet, and were very impressed. We were served a delicious set Easter menu of local cheeses, sliced meats, carpaccio, ravioli, lamb and Sicilian cakes. The food was carefully prepared and to a high standard, yet had a simple, local charm. A lucky find!

Fantastic find, away from busy streets. Original and delicious variations on Sicilian food. Price was worth it and there was excellent service. Highly recommended.

Just divine from start to finish. Everything perfect. Atmosphere, service, food, wine. So pleasant and delicious.

We had a wonderful three course dinner on outside seating. The restaurant is situated adjacent to Hotel Gargallo right in the historic center of Ortigia, but the street is quiet and lovely. The food is outstanding, impeccably served by Eduardo who was conscientious, attentive and very helpful. We highly recommend!

We had dinner for three, not the cheapest place but the food was delicious and Sicilian, not Italian.

'Raw and cooked seafood' - this was spectacular and truly showcased the joy of seafood
'Squid salad' - beautiful seasoning, tender squid, lovely flavours
'Mussel and clam soup' - delicious. Very large serve for one, definitely a dish to share. Lovely tomato and fennel base to the soup with the flavour of the molluscs enhanced instead of outshone

We had pasta mains. I went with the truffoli which was packed with flavour and freshness

The menu had a good range of food available. Mains were 14-16 euro and entrees ranged between 8-20 euro.

This was the best dinner I had in Siracusa and I ate at Don Camillo as well. Get the sushi appetizer. It was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Also, very friendly staff. My boyfriend and I were wondering the streets looking for a place to eat, and even though we didn’t have reservations, they seated us. Go eat here. Also, get the dessert. It was delicious.

Really good food. Nice place in case you need stay far from the most common cheasy turist trattorie

A hidden gem. The personal attention to detail of service and the quality of the food was most excellent! Great wine list and the chef himself came and chatted with us. Would recommend this restaurant for sure!

Fantastic meal here. The aubergine parmigiana was fantastic and a snip at €6. The mains are delicious and grillo is also superb. Service excellent. A nice place to go for a special meal

Amazing food, beautiful wine. The entres we got at the start were soo delicious. We also tried coffee and pastries and they were the best we had in Sicily!

Tucked away from the over busy tourist spots is a top notch foodie experience, with impeccable service, a modern emphasis on Sicilian food, and a great affordable list of wines and desserts. Dont tell anyone!

It is a very nice place to eat. Its very tastfull food en the price is low. The waiter was good. A lot of luxery for a low price.

Four of us enjoyed a lovely lunch. Paulo coped very well with our dietary needs and lack of Italian. And he took our photos :-)

We dined here a few times in 2018, menu focus has changed however the quality and attention to detail has not. We were the only one there sadly, many people missed out…

Beautiful restaurant, recently renovated with a ton of charm and plenty of the original stone features, architecture. Flavorful and well prepared. Not generic in the least.

Fantastic food with excellent portions, best bread sticks I've ever had, lovely selection of tea, and very attentive service! Try their version of pasta alla norma, it was fab :-)

Vert nice restaurant: absolutely friendly staff, the food is really good(i had delicious squids, totally worth it), simple but beautiful decoration inside the place.
