Currently staying here, everything we were looking for. Peaceful, relaxed, good breakfast, lovely staff, so so clean, grounds are gorgeous - access to so many restaurants etc nearby. A gem!

The Acacia Marina Hotel 19-07-2019
Superior sea view.

After a two hour bus ride you are dropped off 100 or so yards from the hotel. You are welcomed with a cold towel to freshen up and a cold drink cocktail. Reception call you forward to check in and then you are taken to your room by the porters. The rooms are excellent very spacious well decorated clean big flat screen Samsung TV. There are very few UK channels. One small issue was the very large and heavy wardrobe doors would slide and trap your fingers something to watch out for. We were in room 417 we could just see the sea with binoculars remember the faulty towers episode. The balcony was completely covered brilliant for me as I am a day Walker. Also you are very close to your neighbor's you can see them which can be annoying when sat on your balcony. There is no separation or screen please see photo. Ok you will see from my photos various cakes this hotel is absolutely amazing for cakes and pastries if you like cakes you will love it here. All the food here is above average in fact I would even say excellent I have not been disappointed yet. I was all inclusive this means I had a umbrella and two sun beads on the private beach area. The beach is sandy and you have to walk out a long way to cover your knees. I believe AI is the best option in this hotel but that is my opinion. So far the staff have been absolutely fantastic very polite and English speaking. The pool area has always been very empty so a swim and getting a sun bed is a breeze no matter what time. I thought this hotel was adults only but to my disappointment no it is definitely not it is however adults focused that actually means there's nothing for the kids to do apart from annoying their parents oh and me. The bathroom is excellent large and fully equipped plenty of shampoos shower caps and even shoe shines especially good for flip flops I've been told. The rooms are cleaned once a day and two small bottles of water are left for you. The air conditioning is free and very good you can leave it on all the time.
You do however have to pay two euros per night for the safe. The entertainment is basic only which is perfect for me a duet in the corner and a soloist. Also to note you do NOT have to have long trousers in the restaurant in the evening anything goes. The pool is large and clean with slides there is no entertainment no water polo etc again great for me. There are same sex couples everyone is welcome here. Although watching two men kissing in the pool is over the top. Have I mentioned the food? OMG I can't big this up enough. The pasta is divine each day they have a different type. If you look at my photos you will see the bar menu the orange dot means that if you're AI this included however the green dot you have to pay 50% of the menu price. If you are half bored it was interesting to see that they have the same drinks as AI guests.
Bring bug spray the fly's are really annoying.
This is a Thomas Cook hotel but by no means only Brits- mostly Italians Germans and Eastern European here great for learning a few words in Italian etc. We tried the A la cart restaurant one night as this is in the AI package, it was very good but you do have to pay for your wine and water.
We had a great holiday and I have never slept so well the beds are really comfortable and the hotel is quiet. To sum up great hotel absolutely recommended.

This is a beautiful hotel, well appointed and well trained happy staff. We chose all inclusive, and enjoyed all the facilities. First class. We have travelled extensively over the world and normally don't use travel companies, I can honestly say this holiday was a lovely experience.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Very helpful and friendly staff, the food was delicious and varied, spoilt for choice at mealtimes. The hotel was very clean and we loved the pool, always sunloungers available. A lovely area with plenty of places to visit.

Beautiful hotel, very clean, relaxed and lovely staff. Hotel is in perfect location, a few minutes from a local supermarket and a short walk away from the beach and marina. Even though the hotel is adult focused, they couldn't have been nicer to our little 7 month old and she has loved all the attention. We would definitely come back.

lovely hotel just 10 minutes walk along the beach promenade to the heart of Marina di Ragusa.

The hotel was very clean and the rooms were large and comfortable.

Breakfast was a cold continental breakfast with fresh fruit and juices everyday.

The pool was very well maintained and a lifeguard was on duty at all times

Would very much recommend going to this hotel to experience southern Sicily

Excellent hotel operated by Thomas Cook.
We visited in early October and hence out of season so the town and beach was verry quite and not like in season where I understand it's packed much like Cornish resort.
The hotel is relatively small at 100 rooms so it quiet and peaceful. Its call verry clean and in good order as relatively new buildings.
Staff are all verry friendly with limited but sufficient English to communicate well.
Food is all local and a good variety but not hot (We understand that is the Sicilian way).
Don't expect a good sea view as most views are more of the horizon.
The rooms are all slightly different in size and layout and nicly fitted out from what I saw.
Kettles are available from reception on request for each room.

I have visited many different places in the world. At Acacia parco dei leoni near Cefalu' I have been three times with a group of tourists and we all have enjoyed the beauty and the amenities available.
We visited also Acacia Marina di Ragusa and discovered another world. Highly recommended for he who love....to relax while vacationing.

Each time I travel to Sicily visiting relatives, I like to stay at least on week at Acacia parco dei leoni. Once I stayed at Acacia Marina di Ragusa , south of Sicily. I enjoyed both places.
