This is the best place I have ever stayed, and I can’t wait to come back. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed and the grounds are lovely and peaceful. It’s close to the temples and several great beaches, but honestly I couldn’t wait to get back to Borgo to swim in the pool or read in one of the many shady spots around the grounds. The food is also so delicious that we never considered leaving for dinner and was some of the best we had on a two week trip to Italy. Really can’t describe how wonderful this place is, and how kind the owners are.

A wonderful relaxing retreat up in the hills surrounded by rolling countryside. Spotless, charming and fantastic food. The breakfasts are delicious but the restaurant in the evening is really special (if you are not a fan of fish, just say in advance as they will substitute for meat). They have a great wine list with tonnes of wines by the glass too. Lovely olive groves with lots of places to sit and relax, beautiful flowers and a great pool. We went with a 1.5yr old and they couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. Close to great beaches too! All the staff are wonderful and make it feel just like home with a touch of luxury and without any of the stress.

Mara and Domenico have built such a lovely place among the the olive trees not far from Agrigento. The attention to detail brought to the renovations and the spectacular service throughout our stay made this a memorable vacation due to the blissful enjoyment of staying at Borgo delle Pietre.

The rooms are large and comfortable, cleaned daily and provide all the necessary amenities. The pool provided a much needed refuge after a day of touring the Temples.

Every night we enjoyed dinner at the restaurant, featuring fresh seafood and other delicious options as a vegetarian. The chef was very accommodating to my diet and preferences. Not to mention, the delicious homemade olive oil and fresh bread to accompany the meal.

Mara, Domenico, and Marc all made our stay the best we could have asked for. There is a reason this property has so many good reviews and that everyone in Agrigento knows Mara and Domenico! They have a gem among the hills.

One thing to note/emphasize: if you are staying here and approaching from the west, be sure to follow Mara and Domenico’s directions on which road to take. We saw this but did not take it into consideration which was a huge accident on our end as one road is very much not equipped to be driven by car.

We just came back from Sicily and had a great time at our Niece's wedding. We stayed at Borgo delle Pietre and can highly recommend it.

It's so picturesque, very rugged, rustic and authentic. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We'd love to go back, as the staff were amazing also. Very friendly and kind!

We spent 2 weeks at Borgo delle Pietre and used it as a base to explore the surrounding territory.

We loved it: stylish, but genuine. Domenico and Mara were wonderful hosts - always available and full of useful tips. The whole personnel was also kind and friendly especially with our kids.

But I would say that the true highlight was the restaurant. We ate here 3 times - this is by far the best restaurant we have eaten in in the area (and we tried a few good ones, like il re di girgenti, scrusciu di mare, etc). They have a very short menu, with just one appetizer, 2 first and and 2 mains usually, and its mostly fish (with some veggie options), but the dishes (which use local ingredients) are made to perfection. Great selection of local wines as well.

Highly recommended overall.

Mara & Domenico (owners of Borgo delle Pietre) have been rebuilding this place with lots of love and attention to detail since 2009 and in 2021 it opened it's doors to tourists from around the world 🌍 We have stayed here as a family of 3 (2 adults and a child) for 6 days in August 2023 and fully enjoyed both the great hospitality of the hotel family, as well as the tranquility of the place itself. It has everything that one would need to relax and unwind. This is a really calm place where you will be taken care of with attention to details. There is a nice pool, great food is served in the restaurant in the evening with great service, as well as a really nice breakfast with always a fresh selection of fruits, pastries and everything you would expect from a breakfast table. The place is conveniently reached by car, the ride is approx 10 minutes. If you prefer to walk by foot - likely only a walk downwards (from the home to the beach) will be possible, as it's a light mountain area, but not a walk upwards. By foot it should take you about 35 minutes without kids. Otherwise you can always call one of the local taxi drivers to assist. Borgo delle Pietre offers a really nice way to enjoy southern Sicily to the fullest and the nearby beaches are perfect for kids due to their mild shore without steep entrances into the clean sea. Thank you, Mara & Domenico! We hope to be back one day! We had a great time 🙏

Mara +Domenico have built a new, serene, comfortable, lovely Hilltop Inn /Borgo. We had 3 very happy nights here. Gracious, helpful very caring people. Total pros. Great dinners. Guest,Dining room have beautifully designed and executed wood furniture. New beds and towels generous and comfy. Nice pool area.
Bathrooms terrific. Only country road uphill at night a caution. Get back by sunset and have delicious dinner in house. Early Am, late Pm very tranquil under the Stars.

Borgo delle Pietre is a charming old countryhouse that Mara and Domenico, the current hosts, have renovated and turned into a small paradise. From the tasteful and thought through interiors, to the closeness to nature, everything in this boutique hotel invites the guests to relax and come down. Mara, Domenico and their staff made us feel very welcome during our stay and answered all our questions. A special mention to their chef and the kitchen staff, who cooks delicious dinners and prepares an excellent breakfast based on local products. Highly recommended if you visit the area of Agrigento. We will be back!

Mara and Domenico are the perfect hostess and host! It is clear from arrival that this place is their baby and they have but so much love into it. They made us feel so welcome! The place is very pretty, clean and relaxing. The food is excellent and ambitious, both the breakfast and the dinner. They gave us excellent tips on things to do and see during they day and it felt so nice to come back to Borgo in the afternoon for some pool and relax time.

I’m not sure Domenico and Mara have clearly realised what they have created. We picked the place looking at reviews, their website and usual booking platforms but honestly we were not expecting something like that.
The place is on top of a hill, short driving distance from main sites: Agrigento, Temples and beaches.
Hard to find the correct wording to describe the atmosphere, it is not just a place to sleep during your holiday but it is holiday itself. Great place for singles , couples and families. Attention to details was a clear driver when they built the place; you can easily notice that looking at the lights setup, the quality of the outside furniture, the pool area, the quality of the rooms. There is also a field of olive trees in front of the main building where you can relax or do some activities: you can relax on few hammocks hanging between the trees or do sport as sport tool are also there between the trees, including a boxing bag.
Service for breakfast, apero, dinner and after dinner is top quality. Same as the food: I felt obliged to get into the kitchen and thank the lady for the dinner.
We travelled as a family with two kids: ideal for us, leaving the kids sleeping in the room and enjoying after dinner drink chatting with the host and other guests in the garden. Also during the day you can relax having the kids running all around in a safe place.
I’m also quite sure that the reviews will not be able to transfer how amazing this place is; you just have to try. We will back quite soon I guess.

Mara and Dominico are the warm and inviting hosts for this perfect 5 star B&B. They have an amazing staff and incredibly talented chef, and offer a fabulous included breakfast that will leave you satisfied, immersed in the local flavors.

The cozy ambiance of the dining room, mixed with the quiet laughter of friends and couples, is perfect to enjoy the company of friends or a special romantic moment. This also sets the stage for an amazing culinary experience you won't forget. Mangiamo!!

We enjoyed dinner both nights we were there, after exploring the local town and surrounding areas during the day.

The rooms all have their own unique features. A mix of rustic charm and comfort with all the high-tech features, AC/ heat. Perfetta!!

There is a mix of quaint sitting areas all around the property as well as outdoor patios and beautiful pool.

Such a brilliant place, hard to find any fault at all. The highlight is without doubt the whole dining experience - Adriana is a superb chef and we loved the personal touch when she chats to each table during the evening. The terrace itself is also beautiful, and it's so small and intimate that we could eat on the terrace outside our room (Deluxe Ficudinia) whilst still being able to safely keep an eye on our son sleeping.

Nothing was to much trouble for the whole team there - we asked about food for our son (who eats at 5pm ish) and they asked the chef to come in early (!), cook us something (a lovely tomato pasta) and then didn't even charge for it!

Just lots of small attention to detail (e.g. getting our son his morning "baby cino" and making sure it was the right temperature, restocking the fridge for free etc.

I didn't find the road up to the Borgo too bad, we've seen far worse on other travels!

This was a wonderful find. Newly renovated traditional farmhouse surrounded by olive trees close to major tourist sites. Do you want to be near major attractions but stay in a peaceful place? Then do it, book it now! Highly recommend staying here because the renovation and decor are inspiring and inviting. The food was also spectacular, even for Sicily’s famous reputation for excellent cuisine, the chef surprised us even further with delicious meals thanks to her talent and love. Then the breakfast was delicious - best croissants I have had in Sicily, for example. Mara, the manager and her husband were also wonderful. She was communicative throughout the booking process with my specific requests and all staff are gracious. Just wonderful - treat yourself, don’t think over it too much, and book your stay!

Everything about Borgo delle Pietra is 5 star. We loved our one day stay and our only regret is not staying longer. Mara and Domenico have lovingly and careingly restored the Inn (If you stay ask them to show you the pictures they tool of the restoration). Our stay here was one of the highlights of our two week trip to Sicily. Warm and Welcoming we felt at home from the moment we set foot on the property.

Travelled with my wife and two small kids . Very welcoming and friendly hosts. Our family got warmly taken care of. The location is tranquil and idyllic. The facilities and rooms are clean and cosy. Food was great with a local tough and special attention was given to the wine selection which we appreciated.

All in all, a great experience and most of all very welcoming and friendly hosts. Thank you!
