Icario Winery

Unfortunately I couldn't taste the wine since I was driving. My wife was delighted with her time at this winery. My nose caught all the aromas and I was shocked by them and was already looking forward to the evening to try the wines. The staff is excellent and knows the answers to all questions. The reservation on the website did not work out, but everything was confirmed to us by email. I definitely recommend visiting.

Fantastic wine tasting with nice views and very knowledgeable professional staff; our sommelier Alessandra had a fantastic and wonderful explanation about the wines and grapes, she made us feel very comfortable and cared.

We did the Platinum Wine Tour Experience and had an amazing time! The food was plenty, they gave us an extra basket of bread to have with their olive oil and it is honestly the best olive oil I have ever tasted! Because of the heatwave, they kept the tour short and sweet, and stopped only in the shade which we really appreciated. All of the wines tasted incredible, there was quite a variety of flavors and we will definitely be going home with a few bottles. We also accidentally backed our car into a ditch before arriving and the staff jumped into action, allowing us to start the wine tasting while they flawlessly moved our car to safety. What an incredible experience, we will definitely be coming back!

They had a good selection, and several options for wine tasting.

We had a detailed tour of the winery, where our guide very patiently and expertly explained the wine making process and regional history with us. The entire estate is magnificent and beautiful. The staff are wonderful. We also did a lunch with wine tasting which was delicious. Cannot recommend enough!

Thomas was our host and he was amazing! So knowledgeable and took very good care of us! The wine was fantastic and the views were incredible! Add this place to your stops! It was spectacular!

Ricardo was a great host, dry sense of humour and made us all feel super welcome and relaxed. We got a short tour of the vineyard, fermentation process and barrelling. We got to taste 7 wines with a great selection of breads, meats and cheeses. All round a great experience and beautiful views of Tuscany.

Wonderful winery tasting and visit experience. The winery is in a contemporary and airy building, which is a nice contrast with the surrounding countryside. The tasting happened at a modern sleek terrace that reminds me of California wineries. We tasted 6 different wines and they are an interesting variety, especially the ones that you don't normally associate with Montepulciano DOCG (a sparkling rosé made with methode champenoise, a white blend including Riesling and gewurztraminer, and a very good trebbiano). The vino nobile itself is great too. Overall great experience.

The enterance, how the decoration welcomes you and the presentation of the wine tasting are all marvelous! A good tasting experience in Toscana. Very good wines…Highly recommend ✨

This winery was so hospitable and amazing. The lovely lady was gorgeous and very well spoken. Explained the wines with so much detail and very proud of how it was aged, the process and the taste of it.

We loved the silver wine tour and all the wines were fabulous. We also had extra bread and their own olive oil which was the best we have tasted. We were fortunate enough to have a sample of the grapes which were super sweet and delicious. If you're in the Montepulciano area we'd highly recommend Icario, you won't regret it!

Beautiful winery (reminded me of California, with the great architecture and sculptures - but with better views! 🤩), with a detailed and well-priced tasting of 6 great wines. Loved the exploration of Super Tuscan vs Montepulciano DOCG, and walking through the beautiful tank room and barrel storage. Bottles are well-priced. Would recommend tasting here, 100%.

Delicious wine and so cool to be seated on the glass floor. Great view of the barrels, very different experience from other wineries. Loved it!

Icario was our favorite stop in Tuscany during our honeymoon! Ricardo was so wonderful and informative. The wine was fantastic and we were welcomed with a double rainbow. Saluti!

We attended Icario recently, during our wedding weekend with our entire wedding party (35 guests) and spent several months discussing the logistics with Cecilia & Lucy in the lead up. They were so helpful, attentive and adaptable to our needs for the day and truly made the visit feel like such a bespoke experience that our guests absolutely loved.

Our guide on the day did an incredible job of navigating everybody through the different and wonderful areas of the winery and even managed to keep 2 young children entertained. His knowledge was impeccable and he easily answered any questions with calmness and good humour. The staff had arranged a long table across the width of the glass floor (which very impressively looks down onto the barrel room) and they made the tasting experience seamless. Each wine was generously poured, delicious and suited a range of palettes and was explained in great detail. The rosé and grappa to finish were a great touch! We also had an array of meats and cheese boards to accompany - some of the best cheeses we have ever tried! They did a really great job of catering to all allergies, with gluten free bread at hand and even made up small plates for the children to enjoy.

The winery setting itself is unique and stunning, as is the art work surrounding it. Our guests loved sipping wine outside on the beautiful terrace. It felt luxurious. Another highlight was walking through the vineyards during an informative tour and grape tasting.

A big thanks to the staff for their enthusiasm, hard work and patience before and during our visit. It made it an unforgettable experience!

We had an amazing tour and tasting at Icario! The wine was exceptional, and we also had the opportunity to taste olive oil and grappa. The tour was very interesting and the winery is in a beautiful contemporary building. If you are in or around Montepulciano I highly recommend visiting, the staff are very knowledgeable and will look after you start to finish!

What a place! We enjoyed a wine fight on the terrace, the view was spectacular, the wine was delightful and all made wonderful by our host Eva.
