If you are looking to visit a small, family operated vineyard, with history, and run with passion, this is the place to visit. Organic, and practising sustainable methods, they are producing award winning wines. The wine tasting conducted by sommelier, Irene was very informative, but really fun. She is passionate about the craft, and makes the visit very enjoyable. A very worthy visit.

Absolutely top winery in Montepulciano. Production about 45k bottles so its not so big, but… smaller and best. Wine tasting was amazing and we bought a lots of bottles. I can recommend all of you. If u want somethink special and interesting, ask for Damo wine ;)

Fantastic wine tasting experience in Montepulciano. While it’s a small estate, the passion and their eagerness to share their insights about wine is incredible. Irene was going the extra mile, sharing the family history, the estate’s vision and 6 of their acclaimed and biological wines as well as a grappa. Definitely worth a stop and very reasonably priced. Do make an appointment though, walk ins may not be always possible to accommodate.

Brilliant wines. Delicious. Highly recommend and will visit again! Tasting is an excellent experience, only your group and a friendly Montemercurio expert sampling the very finest Tuscan wines, in a great, non-pretentious setting. Off the beaten tourist track, and well worth a visit.

A hidden gem. This is a boutique winery that produces a limited production. The wines are delicious, characterful and signify the best of the Montepulciano wine producers. If you are English speaking ask for the charming Irene when wine tasting. Her knowledge and passion for the wines of this part of Tuscany is clearly evident. A wonderful experience.

I visited this winery in September 2021. We learned so much from the tour, and the wine was amazing. Our only regret is that we only bought a few bottles of wine. The olive oil is delicious too.

They are different! I think that says most about the winery Montemercurio, which I must 100% recommend to all wine-lovers of Tuscany (red) wines. They produce even white and rose, it is special as well, so try it too, but it was not my cup of tea - but they are nice. But the ROSO?! ASSOLUTAMENTE PERFETTO :-) Rosso, Nobile and Damo, they are fantastic, full-bodied and perfectly aged, typically aged for 12M more, then they must, which is pretty. I must say, that the approach of the winery, with the respect to the family history makes the wines somehow special. One example, DAMO 2012, being prepared as a honor to the grandfather of the family (if I remember it correctly), released for the market in 2021 is something very unique in this category of the wines (taste and the value of the wine is amazing). And of course, do not forgot to try Vinsanto, very special sweet wine. Thank you very much for the experience and very warm welcome to your winery!

Amazing wine produced with passion, care and their own authentic touch. We drank their 2015 Messagero Vino Nobile di Montepulciano at a restaurant and loved it so much, we drove to their vineyard to buy more. Thank you for receiving us today! Amazing experience! Guide Irene did such a good job telling us about the story behind Montemercurio, with a lot of personal touches. We had so much fun learning about the wine! Beautiful scenery, very good wines. And we had the honour to taste the Vin Santo from grandfather Damo, because of the timing right after the intro of the new wines. We absolutely loved the family history behind the wines, great experience. Book the wine tour with Montemercurio when in Montepulciano! Will most definitely recommend! Grazie Irene!! This winery is one of the many family owned in the area. Even though my wife and I spoke very little Italian we felt comfortable and really enjoyed the wine and the translated information available from our host.

Perfect wine taste and really beautiful view. Nice explanation about the wine and really delicious wine. Really interesting history about the family and about their wine. Recommended!!

Catia hat uns die Geschichte des Weinguts, die Details zum Weinausbau und jeden einzelnen Wein bei der Verkostung hervorragend erzählt. Es war ein sehr unterhaltsamer Nachmittag. Und die Weine sind exzellent.
Einen Besuch kann ich nur empfehlen.

Wir haben für uns zwei ein Wine-Tasting gebucht, wir kannten die Weine und das Gut nicht. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich. Es war wirklich ein Erlebnis. Es ist ein familiengeführtes eher kleineres Weingut. Die Geschichte mit den vielen Anekdoten, der Namensgebung, des "Dessertweins" hat uns fasziniert. Die Weine sind sehr unterschiedlich aber alle sehr fein und passend...natürlich haben wir einige gekauft :)
Auf Nachfrage für ein Restaurant zum Mittagessen haben wir ein "PicNic-Platz" empfohlen bekommen. Ganz herzlichen Dank auch dafür, das war ein wunderschönes und leckeres Erlebnis. Weiterhin viel Erfolg und vielen Dank, war sehr schön :)
