Osteria Veglio

Located just down the hill from the small village of La Morra this little restaurant is a gem. Parking can be a little difficult as it is a popular spot and they have only limited parking located off a driveway that goes down in front of the outdoor patio. The interior is clean and elegant offering a mix of modern and classic style. The patio offers an inspiring territorial view that will keep you mesmerized during your meal. The service is prompt, polite and helpful for non Italian speakers. The menu offers a variety of options from land to sea to field. Our group tried the meat ragu pasta, the spinach/cheese ravioli and the sautéed fish and fish stew. Everything was prepared at a high level allowing the local ingredients to shine through. I will go on record and say the blanched asparagus I had with the fish was THE best I've ever had. The wine list is large and the prices are reasonable. You can't go wrong with a dinner here.

Our meal and wine were luscious. The service spectacular. On our recent visit, the views were divine. [At times, LaMorra is foggy.] We dined on the best that Piemontese has to offer. P.S. Oh the lamb meatballs (likely seasonal), I still dream of them. 😊

Writing yet another glowing review of Osteria Veglio is like carrying coals to Newcastle. Needless to say that in numerous visits to the Langhe region I always have a meal here and it is always great. A special place in my heart (or maybe stomach) is reserved for the incomparable panna cotta desert, a version so close to perfection that all others pale by comparison. Of course the wine list is superb, featuring all the great producers of the region, the good thing is that even choosing an inexpensive Barolo will provide a stellar drinking experience.

Spectacular food. One of the best vitello tonnato I've ever had! The interior has everything it needs for a fantastic rustic experience but decoration is a little cold. Eat and drink plenty! 😀

Absolute best food and experience for us in Piedmonte. A modern but familiar and comforting interpretation of many of the classics. A deep and well priced wine list as well. Molto benne !

This is one of our favorite restaurants in all of Langhe. We first visited in September, and then revisited again earlier this month when we returned to Langhe for vacation. We stayed in Langhe for about one week and ate here 3 times, we loved it so much. The menu offers all of the classic favorites of Piemontese cuisine along with several other less common, very creative, and absolutely delicious dishes. The presentations are gorgeous, and the prices are very fair. Excellent wine list too, which is also priced very fair. We look forward to returning very soon. Be sure to reserve far in advance, dinner reservations book up very far in advance.

A place that I’ve had multiple times dinner and lunch. Amazing spot in La Morra and chef Massimo delivers great food on your plate. Nothing crazy fancy but just the perfect Osteria

Beatiful view from the terrace and exellent food! I had the veal tartare (chopped, raw meat) and tagliatelle with lamb ragout, and my boyfriend had fried sardines and the pasta as well. Very delicious. A bit expensive compared to other places in the area though.

Beautiful room inside but the outside patio and view was amazing. Each dish we had tasted fantastic and was well presented. Highly recommend the squid - it was cooked perfectly.

Great food and service, even though some dishes were too salty for our taste.

We were in La Morra , and that small town was just crazy. We wanted to find a place to eat lunch and saw this on the map. It was only a couple minutes away and worth the drive. They require you to spend a $30 minimum per person, which was not a problem for us. Everything was delicious! I wish we would have time to order more food. we sat outside on a beautiful November afternoon, and had a great lunch with a view.

This place is sensational. Not often I eat something brand new, this was 3 courses, all new and interesting. Their versions of delicious Piemonte cuisine. Delicious modern version in a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful outlook and very attentive staff. Plastic tables don't match the fabulous everything else but I'm trying to find a fault.

Could not suggest this place any more!! SOO amazing. The food was phenomenal, service was friendly and attentive, wine menu was extensive. If I could suggest anything in the area please go here! You need to get the vanilla ice cream over raspberry and the spaghetti with clams and broccoli was 10/10
