Baglio Tramontana

Stopped in for dinner while we stayed in an Airbnb down the road. The hotel is beautiful and the food was great! Very good menu of options, many pizzas, great pasta, and the protein dishes looked good. Ambiance was the best we have seen - ambient lighting on real stone arches can’t be beat!

House wine was good, connolo pizza was delicious as was the stuffed pizza my wife had. If we were staying in town longer than one night, we would be back!

Beautiful newly renovated Hotel, the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful if you need anything and the food is absolutely delicious. The pizza and home made pasta were the best we have eaten here and the savoury breakfast was so rich and tasty the we didn’t need lunch that day. Just a great place and a must-stay if you visit Sicily and the roof terrace with etna view is a great bonus.

We went for dinner and I can therefore only comment on the food and the location. Excellent ! Just one thing : don't follow the GPS and park on the main square

An absolute gem. We stayed one night but wished we had stayed longer. The room was cozy and spacious (top 5 bathroom of all time). Some highlights: rooftop terrace with spectacular view, amazing restaurant (amazing pizza), breakfast was great, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. If I could give them more stars would! Last note: our friends stayed there a few months prior and they remembered them - personal touch!

We were doing a self drive through Sicily and a lovely gentleman from the adidas factory shop recommend we stop in Gangi. I googled restaurants and my eye immediately caught this place. What an amazing hotel and restaurant! Quaint, beautifully kept with with friendly staff. The food was just perfect- the pasta was the best we have ever had! And the desserts- we could not fault them at all. We had the pannacotta and the cannoli.
Definitely worth a drive for a meal here! The rooftop view is just stunning. Thanks for making our experience so special!

Stumbled upon this gorgeous and cozy oasis in the middle of the beautiful village of Gangi. While everyone was tucked away during the middle part of the day, Nicolo and Mimi were open and welcomed us into their lovely establishment for a perfect Sicilian lunch… cold antipasto with all fresh
Gangi-produced offerings such as cheeses, prosciutto and olives, as well as pasta dishes, homemade wine and canoli. The food and service were superb and we were even given a tour of their rooftop and rooms. Hope you make it there one day!

Wow, we just got surprised with the most delicious food we had around here in Sicily.
As vegetarians the "pasta alla Norma" and pizza Engium were absolutely amazing. A cozy little patio and very sympathic staff. We will come back 🙏

This place was, quite simply, faultless. We stumbled upon it after being turned down at a different restaurant - a twist of fate that happened to be the luckiest turn of events for us. From the efficient and friendly service, to the very reasonable prices, to the wonderful setting - this was the best dining experience we had in Sicily (and up there with one of the best we’ve ever had).

The star of the show was the food. Every course was pitch perfect. The pork with caponata starter was divine, the pasta dishes (we had two) were bursting with flavour, the desserts were the perfect sweet note to end the meal. Even the bread was amazing. This is THE place to eat, if you’re looking for somewhere to go, you’ve found it. Enjoy - we’re jealous you get to go there!

We enjoyed a lovely evening last night at Baglio Tramontana. Amazing staff who couldn’t do more for us! As vegetarians they helped us choose the most delicious pasta dishes complimented by a fresh salad and finishing with a perfect (not too sweet) tiramisu! (Special thanks to tiramisu maker - Matteo🤣!) We’re walking the Francigene way, and have stayed at many beautiful medieval villages and sampled delicious local foods, but this was the best!

Had a lovely lunch here with our local friends! Four adults and 3 kids! Really good food/ beer. Great friendly service! Very honest prices! Would recommend it to everyone. Ps a great few from there roof top!! Irish living in Rome!

Amazing place with decent ambiance, great design and most importantly outstanding food and service. Special thanks to Nicola and Lucio. The pizza with burrata and pistachio was one of the best we have ever tasted.

Walking around this beautiful medieval town, we came across Baglio Tramontana, an unexpected place, where old meets new, where you can enjoy delicious local food and wine and breathe clean mountain air. Pleasant staff, thanks Nicola and Matteo for making our lunch so special.

We have been so lucky to find this place on Easter Monday. They had an amazing 3 course menu for a very fair price. Very original Italian kitchen and all you can drink wine. What else do you want?!

Had the best Christmas lunch ever. Then a lovely pizza on Boxing Day. Fantastic food, amazing setting and the friendliest and most charming of staff. Cannot fault it. We will return.

Lovely restaurant with excellent food and very educated and professional service. Definitely to recommend.

We had a very nice experience, with good pizzas and great traditional Sicilian food: caponata and pasta with pistacchio. Very nice and caring staff! They just opened the restaurant and there’s also the chance to book a room for the night. I’d definitely recommend this place in Gangi!

Great view and great food!

Really warm environment and very helpful staff. The food is incredible. The metre Nicola showed us around the whole building. Really kind and professional. Highly recommend 😊
