Sax Wine Bar

Great food, what fantastic pasta with truffles I had here! Amazing quality and good price, nice atmosphere and perfect location. Good wine and home made desert. I can only recommend this place , also for vegetarian dishes.

The bar is great, really old school, we went in super low season and it was the unique place open with personality. We stopped by in the evening after the sunset and it was great. We drank beers got free tapas and also we asked a mixture of local products as cheese, prosciutto... simply great. We enjoyed a lot of time in the bar. Montepulciano needs more places as the SaxWineBar in low-season!!

Very good food, good service. We really loved our pasta and it was a good portion also. We loved how it was not a big fancy restaurant, just a cosy place with good food.

One of our absolute favourite bars in all of Italy. The wine and beer are good and fantastically priced. But the best thing is the apertivo. Easily the best we've had in all of Italy, and it comes with every drink. The service is fantastic, all the woman that work there are lovely and attentive. We can't wait til we can come.here again!

We only had coffee but it was good, especially the coffee slushie (we will probably return for another serving later on)

This is a delicious and HUGE dish of pici pasta, covered in a pecorino and truffle sauce, at Sax Wine Bar in Montepulciano. I visited just for the day from Siena & I loved every minute there - Montepulciano is such a beautiful town to visit in Tuscany - it’s now one of my favourite places in Italy and I already can’t wait to go back.

Went a few times during our stay in Montepulciano. Best wine prices, great appetizers, and the pizza was awesome.

Best cacio e pepe we had in Italy (and we had many). If anyone knows the owner, I would love to get the recipe!

Amazing little bar/cafe in montepulciano. The food was so good, all freshly made with great wines. We were only in montepulciano for 2 days but came here twice.

Amazing food and experience. The food was all delicious especially home grown grilled vegetables. Wide variety of options. Service was extraordinary only one person being the cook and waitress; was really generous and welcoming. Felt at home.

Unassuming but surprisingly good little restaurant in the heart of Montepulciano. Best truffle pasta and pizza we've had in Tuscany. Very good value too. Went for dinner and came back for lunch. It's that good.

Stop here for lunch and be patient, there's no rush in Tuscany. Enjoy the view, eat Ribollita and all the fresh vegetables they have to offer (own production). Excellent food and such a nice service. Grazie, you're in my heart!

This is a great wine bar. You can also get cheese and meat boards (meats freshly sliced). Also Panini and pizzas. Nice atmosphere and great food and wine. Also you can get coffee.
