Palazzo Gancia Exclusive Home Holiday

What a super find. From the moment we arrived until our departure we were really into the Ortigia experience. To walk out the door and to have the sea and 5 mins from the hub. Sleeping was a dream, no noise. Sebastiano is a great host, with suggestions on all things to do, restaurants, valet parking…. Thank you and we will be back.

The host, Sebastiano, offered a wonderful tour of the palazzo and explained the history behind it. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Wonderful sunrise view from the balconies of the palazzo. Willy is adorable and very friendly. Very good location, short walk to all main attractions of Ortigia.

We had a nice stay at Palazzo Gancia. The location was excellent, the sea view was spectacular. The Palazzo has a fascinating history and cultural value, which made our stay very exciting. We even had a friendly companion greet us in the afternoons, a dog named Willy, whom my kids loved. The loft was comfortable, although due to the cold weather I wish there had been warmer blankets or bedding. The included breakfast was great, we enjoyed coffee and croissants by the sea with a wonderful view. Lastly, Sebastiano was very accommodating, with helpful tips, an interesting history lesson and a warm welcome. Thank you, Sebastiano!

Perfect place to stay in order to get the best of Siracusa. The room was spacious, clean and had all you need for short or long stay. The owner was very helpful on all fronts and was always ready for any questions we might have. No problem in communicating in English :) Owner helped us to get boat trip reservations and provided a map and places to visit and where to eat. Stellar performance.

Lovely and clean apartment sitting in an archeological site. Hospitable host who gave us lots of information about magical Siracusa.

Close to the sea and to the centre to lovely park and the beaches. A lot of restaurants pubs and clubs around
Place is very quiet and silent
A lot of space in the room
Very clean and tidy
Owner is extra friendly and helpful
There is an equipped kitchen and washing machine
One remark parking is a challenge but it goes same to all ancient towns in Europe

Very good location! The house is in the historic part of Siracusa. There are many restaurants, shop just a few minutes walking from the house. The house/apartment itself is quiet.
The owner lives there, he was very friendly and helpful. Even he did not speak too much English but we could understand each others (with the most difficult things he used google translation on his tablet) - if we want, we can solve problems instead of creating them.
We washed our clothes (spent 2 week in Sicilia, and this was our middle hotel).
The bathroom was also beautiful, refurbished.
The whole apartment was full with lovely decorations.
There is a parking facility just 3 minutes walking away; it is good for the rental cars.
The closest mini beach is just about 100 m from the apartment.
There is a shop also just couple of minutes from the apartment where the most basic products are available and where the guy makes good sandwiches.

There was no wifi in the apartment. Signal was too weak, our phones, tablets always dropped the connection. Unfortunately, there was very poor phone signal as well; this is not problem of the owners. So, actually, we were almost completely disconnected as in the apartment the mobile data did not work as well.
There is a very lovely atrium; we were there and used wifi when we had to check something.
Other minus point is the breakfast. We received a coupon to a nearby shop. For the coupon we received just one piece of sweet product and a drink or coffee/cappuccino. This was not really enough... Even coupon in the nearby shop for the sandwiches would have been better.

Such a great place to stay with our family. The host has been perfect ! Thank you Sebastiano

Vorrei iniziare dicendo che Ortigia è un isola meravigliosa e il Palazzo Gancia ubicato difronte al mare è davvero uno spettacolo!

Dal piazzale si puo' ammirare la vista di un mare azzurro e un acqua cristallina di color turchese della caletta sottostante , dove solo a guardala ti vien voglia di tuffarti
e fare dei bagni rigeneranti e godere delle vacanze in tutto relax.

Il Palazzo Gancia è una struttura del '600 tenuta benissimo, appena si arriva davanti al portone si capisce subito
che entrando dentro si respira storia.

Vorrei fare i complimenti per come è tenuto bene sia all'esterno che all'interno.

l'appartamento dove ho soggiornato è grazioso e
accogliente , aria condizionata, bevande fresche in frigo, bagno super pulito e tutto nuovo ..non mancava assolutamente nulla ..

Inoltre vorrei fare i complimenti anche al Sig. Sebastiano, sempre educato, disponibile, pronto a risolvere qualunque problema o necessità .

Grazie sono stata benissimo.

Willy (un Labrador) è il vero proprietario della struttura. Ti accoglie appena entri con tutta la gioia possibile!
Camera che è un appartamento molto grande, comoda, centralissima ed in un palazzo storico. Bagno molto ampio. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Sicuramente da ricordare per il futuro!

Che dire mi sono trovato casualmente in qst struttura e non potevo fare scelta migliore. Ottimo tutto…. Dalla posizione… praticamente nel pieno centro di Ortigia… ove puoi scaricare i bagagli dall auto fino al portone d ingresso… dalla pulizia alle camere spaziose e pulite. Ma due menzioni particolari li meritano il receptionist… WILLY un Labrador di una dolcezza ed educazione unica… mio figlio ancora piange.. se lo voleva portare a casa😂😂… al Sig. Sebastiano che mi è stato vicino in tutto… con i suoi preziosi suggerimenti e per qualsiasi cosa sempre disponibile. Mi sono promesso di ritornare e trascorrere qualche giorno in più

UN séjour inoubliable dans un très bel endroit face à la mer et près des centres d'intérêts. Sebastiano nous a donné un tas de bons conseils pour visiter et d'adresses pour adorer cette ville magique.
Nous avions droit à un très bon petit déjeuner dans un bar sur une place tout près
Bref j'y retournerai et je le recommande vivement..mention spéciale à willy , un labrador très gentil et plein d'amour tout comme le maître du palais

Sebastiano gentilissimo innamorato di Ortigia!!! Posto incantevole e posizione strategica! Consiglio: la mattina presto un tuffo a mare a pochi metri e poi colazione in piazza del Duomo!!

Palazzo Gancia va a braccetto con la meravigliosa Ortigia, ricca di cultura e bellezza. Sebastiano, proprietario premuroso e molto attento alle esigenze del cliente, ci ha regalato racconti e tradizioni di questo “fazzoletto ricamato” che ci ha donato non poche emozioni. Consigliatissimo per la pulizia, la cura nei dettagli e la posizione incantevole.

Abbiamo soggiornato il 6 Gennaio, posizione sul lungomare di Ortigia che ti permette di passeggiare e vivere questo meraviglioso posto pieno di storia e meraviglie. Il Palazzo è magnifico, è ricco di storia, le camere sono grandi e accoglienti, noi abbiamo pernottato in 5, 2 adulti e 3 bambini, il Signor Sebastiano è stato molto accogliente, cortese e presente, a parte dare dettagliatamente tutte le nozioni per il Palazzo, ci ha aiutato con il servizio car valet (consigliatissimo), ristorazione, farmacia, vita notturna, ecc ecc.

Sicuramente torneremo ad alloggiare al Palazzo Gancia, consigliato 5 stelle!!!
