If you find yourself in the beautiful town of Barga, be sure to go to this gem of a Osteria. It's a very traditional little bar/wine shop/place to eat good cheese, cured meats, croutons, soups and whatnot. Often in the evening you can find people of the town gathering there, playing instruments and singing creating a beautiful welcoming atmosphere. Definitely recommended!

This is as much an institution as a bar in the centre of Barga. Very likely to have impromptu entertainment.
The owner has since retired. He was a colourful personality. Hope the new manager can follow.

We only wanted a light meal in the evening and this was perfect. Our host was in good form and very attentive, despite the lack of a common language.

The herring in oil brought with bread was exceptional and a real welcome. The salad and meat was excellent and the fig and walnut an excellent way to finish.

We left happy.

Great meeting place. Owners very efficient, Sacha is lovely! coffee great, lovely choice of cakes and ice creams. Great community cafe for both Brits, and especially when you are sitting surround by the local Italians folks. Grazie!

The host was SO incredible friendly and food was amazing! Prices are more than reasonable and the quality of food was very good.
The owner does not speak English, but he was giving his very best to communicate and not shy at allY His service and friendliness was just on point.

Giovanni is the best host and the simple food is amazing, if you want a warm and welcoming place for food and drinks this is the place. He will make you feel like family and you will want to hang out for a long time. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting Barga.

This is a very nice small coffee bar, situated nighty of the main road. Nice place to sit And relax and have a coffee or a drink.

We had the most wonderful lunch here and really enjoyed speaking to the owner in our very broken Italian. Stop by if you are in Barga! Ask for the salumi and formaggi board, and you won't be disappointed!
