Castle of Grinzane Cavour

The castle on the hill.. looks like a blast from 1840. The surrounding wine garden is stunning. The visit to the castle is very instructive showing original decor and beautiful rooms. A short stop at the cafe inside the court will do you good on a sunny day.

Beautiful castle with an exhibition explaining the history behind wine making in the area. Make sure you bring a hat to wander around the vines and read all about the different grapes that are grown in the vicinity. Oh, and the views are awe-mazing!

Such a beautiful castle perched on top of the Langhe hills. IT was an interesting learning experience and also focused on the importance of wine and gastronomy in the region- both in the past and present. There are endless views of the vineyards for as far as the eye can see and the open air wine museum outside is a good opportunity to learn about different wines of the region. We thoroughly enjoyed lunch on the bistro patio and our waiter, Ab, was attentive, friendly and made us feel very welcome. The ladies in the wine cellar were helpful. Highly recommend.

A must-visit for anyone staying in Langhe. The castle itself is beautiful, and offers an extremely educational and informative experience for anyone who's interested in learning about the region's history, as well as past and present winemaking. We loved our visit and look forward to returning soon.

We returned a few days later at night to take pictures of the castle which is lit up every night with the colors of the Italian flag, and it was beautiful to see at night.

Beautiful castle on top of the langhe hills. Beautiful views of the vineyards and the tour is quite interesting to learn about all the different wines of the region. Great wine cellar for dégustations as well

Grinzane Cavour castle is home to the internationally famous truffle auction sale. I took part in a wine tasting there and I have to say that it’s a very cozy place for that kind of activity. On the other side if you are looking for a good local wine for a reasonable price you’re probably in the wrong place since!

On the way to the “International truffle fair of Alba”, we stopped in this beautiful fairytale castle. Awide and interesting selection of wines and even a restaurant with view. Panoramic and amazing place.

Amazing place! Top of the hill, 360 degrees of view of wineries, it is just beautiful.

Beautiful place. The view and the vineyards are great with lots of information about the wine making proces and the seasonal work that is done. The castle inside is less special but for €7 who cares, it’s beautiful.

I have visited it in matter of Food and Wine tourism forum, which was held in the castle. 3 conference rooms, lunch on the terrace and beautiful view on vineyards.

🏰🍷🏰 Scenographic castle in the heart of the Langhe. Free entrance in the garden (with outstanding view) and in the open air museum (how to make wine, very nice). To enter the castle and the castle museum there is ticket and limited entrance (Covid restrictions). Some free parking spaces around the castle and a couple of good resturants in the area. Worth a visit!

Very nice place that should not to be missed in Piedmont.
The museum is for sure worth a visit (7,-). The Audioguide provides some information especially made for children (what our 5 years old liked).
Around the castle you’ll find a free of charge walk that gives a good introduction to circle of a wine-year.
The Enoteca was very well equipped and impressed with good service, tasting and very good English.

The castle is on the top of the small hill (like all other surrounding it :)) and it is has a stunning view. The whole place is simply perfectly renewed (mostly with EU funds) and has a museum of vinemaking and shop for selling local vines and other products. We havent bought vine but a local haselnut cream (pandan of Nutella, only much better). If you wanna take photos on a sunny day, or just plug out from.the daily routine this is a perfect spot :)

Didn't get a chance to go inside but the exterior is beautiful and as castles in the region go, this one is a bit more distinctive and identifiable. Nice shady grass area for resting and absorbing the view of the castle and the surrounding country side.

Amazing view for and outside the castle. Loads of wine is sold, and you can grab a quick bite at the café inside the open terrace in the middle

Highly recommended! UNESCO world heritage. Spectacular view of Piedmont wine country. Eat at Michelin starred restaurant. Drink and learn all about the wines from the region at the Enoteca.

An amazing castle in the wine land's overwhelming landscape

A very nice place to relax with a 360° view of the panorama of the langhe, roero e monferrato. The location is like a fairytale type, once you enter inside, its more magical.

One of the best winery Museum inside the well positionned Castle of Grinzane, in Piedmont' Langhe beautiful wineyads, we have got an effective frame of the wine culture, the wine history, the wine healts benefits, the wine grapes cultivation and winery methods through the centuries and through differenti counties! The wood-made ceiling of the "salone delle Maschere" is really something soecial to observe and appreciate.!
