Locanda Cervino

Hidden Gem. My dad and I ate at the restaurant this evening. Instead of planning for dinner, we just wandered around downtown and stumbled into Locanda Cervino. I'm glad we did. We did not have a reservation (this is recommended) but they graciously sat us anyway. Some people have complained on Google Review that they were given a hard time coming in without a reservation and noticed that there was no one in the room when they sat down. This is not unusual in Italy. Reservations are usually recommended because many people will go out to eat 8pm or later. We were there at 7:45pm without a reservation and when we sat, the place was almost empty. However, by the time 8:05pm rolled around, every table in the back was filled. Just to keep people aware.

My dad ordered the Fungi Risotto. He is ITALIAN (like, authentic came over to the US in his 20s, so he appreciates good Italian cooking). He said his risotto was one of the best he tasted! I had the margarita pizza (I know...I'm the barbaric American ordering Pizza, but I wasn't in the mood for something heavier). The pizza was great. Definitely enough for one and maybe 2 people. The crust was light and the pizza delicious! I also had dessert - Tiramisu (a go-to favorite). It was homemade and delicious! I topped it off with Caffe Macchiato (trying to go the italian way of drinking coffee). That was well done and delicious as well.

The atmosphere of the place was great. It was clear that both locals and tourists eat here. When ducking into the restaurant, the quick take is to think there are just a few tables up front - but the rest of the restaurant is in the back. It looks like you're in a wine cellar and it nicely decorated. Prices were good as well. If I ever find myself back in Chatillon, I will definitely go back!

I Had the salad Mista, the rabbit ragu, and the Greek pizza with their own sparkling water and a couple of beers. Everything was great we had an awesome waiter that was very gracious and spoke English with us. The wood burning oven was very nice but the ceiling was beautiful. We are only here for a couple of days but I think we will be going back again because it was sooooooooo good! Grazie mille

This sleepy little town in the mountains has a hidden jewel. I am beyond impressed with the service and quality of this establishment. Everything from the quality of the food to the atmosphere of the dining area was superb. If you're another American traveler passing though this area, absolutely stop here.

Google Maps seems confused about whether this is a restaurant or hotel. It's a lovely local restaurant in a historic setting. Excellent house-made pasta and friendly staff. We were fortunate to discover this gem completely by chance.

Others in my group had the rabbit pasta, reindeer with grilled polenta and the sea bream filet. All of us were very happy with the quality of the food and service - bravo!

We’re also staying here as hike along the via Francigena. Rooms are very nice and clean. Met the owners and they’re very friendly and professional. Would definitely stay and eat here again!

We went there for dinner three times during our five days stay in Chatillon. The atmosphere is very cozy. The Pizza and Pasta is delicious and the Service was excellent. Definitely a recommendation. :-)

Lovely locanda restaurant where we ate a great variety of food and tasted a great pizza. We returned there several times during our holiday and experienced always something new. The staff was very friendly, so nice was the environment too. Highly Recommended!

My best experience so far ! In France I never ate a pizza so good ! With a glass of Muscato d'Asti ! All the plates are empty !

Good casual place for Italian food. Service was friendly enough and food was really fast. They don't speak much English but they try. A very local place.
