This was my best experience ever in an Indian Restaurant. Beginning with the service (nice & kind son of the chef with a funny moustache) and the terrific food. I have asked for recommendation and everything was delicious and very well presented. I will definitely come again!

We stumbled upon this lovely Indian restaurant during our holiday in Catania, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! Despite arriving late and without a booking, the staff, especially the waiter, was incredibly welcoming and kind, which made us feel right at home.

As vegetarians, we had been struggling to find good options in Catania, but this place was an absolute gem! The food was not only authentic but also had a homely touch that we truly appreciated. It was hands down the best Indian food we’ve had in a long time, even compared to what we’re used to back in the UK.

Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious, authentic Indian cuisine with fantastic service. We’ll definitely be back!

The staff (Ikki) is very friendly. He greets everyone with warmth and gladly helps out for recommendations etc.. the food is very delicious, we tried the sheekh kabab and it was super delicious.

Special note on the quality of rice. It looked and tasted very rich. We just ordered jeera rice, the thickness and texture of it was of premium quality. I have tried rice items in a lot of Indian restaurants across Europe, but never found good quality rice as most of the restaurants compromise on it. But the cook in this place took care of it which makes this restaurant stand out among others.

Excellent authentic Indian food. In our more than 3 week long Italian trip covering various city, this was the best Indian food we had. Extremely friendly service, and informal family like atmosphere added to the great food. Overall, our best dining experience!!

We were dropping someone off at Catania airport and figured we will stopped by Catania for some ethnic food. Agrigento where we are from, does not have much diverse food besides Sicilian. Looking through Google, we saw this restaurant with 5 star rating. I don't think I ever ate at a 5 star place. So, we went and tried. Just an advice, for dinner go at 7:30 and don't expect your typical restaurant treatment. They treat you like a guest to their home. The food tastes home made which it is. The fried veggie platter is not greasy. Everything tasted clean and delicious. I usually get heartburns after Indian food. This one, I feel perfectly fine afterwards. Great selection of vegetarian dishes since my husband does not eat meat. This place is paradise for him. What can I say, the food is divine, service is wonderful, the price is excellent! I was very happy with the bill! They also speak fluent English. It appears that they have a lot of steady patrons. So, do make a reservation beforehand if you can.

As our tradition to visit an Indian restaurant during our trip, in Catania, we came across the only authentic Indian restaurant on the island of Sicily. We went to Indian Royal Resturant di Yoga Chef with our good friend whom has been wanting to try Indian cuisine for some time and this restaurant was the ideal place for her to taste it. It does get busy, so a good idea would be to call to reserve a table beforehand.

We decided not to order but to allow our host to choose our starters and mains. Our host asked about any dietary restrictions, which we all had none other than Irina and I are vegetarian and our friend would like something non-veg. We had three different starters, included pakora, aubergine, and lentil patty. All were deep fried and paired with a beautiful sauce. Not only was it pleasing to the eye, but dancing with flavours in our mouths.

The three mains were bengan bartha, kofta and butter chicken with chapatti and rice the side. Plated beautifully in a traditional mini kadhai, the aroma and flavours were popping as we continued to salivate.

Yoga Chef came out when she had some time to greet everyone and took extra time to speak and tell us about their journey.

When in Sicily and a change is needed, this family run Indian restaurant is a true gem to visit. You will not be disappointed! The service is wonderful, they make you feel like a member of their family from the moment you walk in. The food is prepared with love and care, and spices married with precision with each dish. The heat is the perfect amount for those that require it to be tame. Those who prefer the heat a few notches higher, just need to let your server know.

If you’re looking for some authentic Indian cuisine, then this is the place to go. From the moment you walk into their restaurant, they make you feel at home as they are very helpful and friendly. The food is so fresh and absolutely delicious! I’ve been coming back and forth to Catania for the past four years now and this is by far the best Indian restaurant in the area! Do yourself a favor and try them out!

If you'd like to experience how food tastes in a North Indian (Punjabi) family's home, do come here. The food reminded us of back home. A truly family owned and family run restaurant with fantastic service. Paneer is freshly made and makes the paneer dishes stand out, spices in each dish are perfectly balanced, the rotis are light, chicken is tender, and above all, the taste is authentic! After trying indian food in many Italian cities, we finally felt our indian food cravings were satisfied. Thank you, Auntyji and Uncleji, for your amazing food, and thank you to both your sons for the perfect service! We will definitely come back.

One of the best Indian experience. Homemade food and very fresh. The waitress, children of the owner was very kind and he did also recommendation. You can imagine two tourists hungry who want to take several types of food. He even proposed to us how many portions to take so we are still enjoying the food.

We came to Indian Royal Restaurant di Yoga Chef without having made a reservation. They made sure we could still get a place. Very friendly and helpful staff. They make you feel very welcome.
Then to the best part… We have never tasted Indian food like this. It was a true pleasure tasting all the different dishes, flavours, textures and sauces.
We would highly recommend the vegetarian mixed anti pasti. The shahi paneer is also a winner. And all for a very affordable prices. It’s very refreshing to see a restaurant having so many vegetarian options. We had an amazing night!

Such delicious and authentic Indian food, my wife and I were so glad to find this place during our stay in Catania. The most wonderful hosts and it was such a warm welcome. My wife who has Indian roots felt especially at home. We would return in a heartbeat and urge anyone who enjoys Indian food to visit this place. It is something special. Such good value, so many vegetarian options and genuinely wonderful people running it who make you feel at home. Made such a nice change from pizza and pasta...

Best Indian restaurant in Catania, Italy. If you are planning for a trip to Sisley or Mt. Etna then plz visit this must try Indian cuisine. It was very tasty, healthy and most importantly home made food. The yoga chef aunty , uncle and both her sons were very kind and hard working. They gave us homely feeling in different country 😊

Super cute authentic Indian and Pakistani family restaurant. It comes with a cosy atmosphere and the service is extremely friendly.. Not to mention the food: It's very delicious and comes with very cheap prices. The menu is updated daily so you always get the best quality for such a low price. Recommended for both vegetarians and meat lovers... You can not leave Catania without eating at this place!!
