This is the best restaurant in the area. It is so good, I ate there twice in one day. I could not get enough! The service, the wine selections, the tasty choices, the ambience - all very, very good! I will continue to go back throughout my stay in this area. I want to try everything on the menu! I highly recommend it!!!

We had a simple pasta dish and wild boar. Followed by a truffle dessert. All totally faultless and beautiful to look at and to taste.

We stopped here for a quick lunch. It was a nice cosy place with a lovely terrace in the historical centre.
The menu was creative and the dishes were unlike any ither we've seen in other places which was vet refreshing. It was still great Italian cuisine.
The waiter was nice and helpful and spoke good English!
The food was very tasty and fresh (home-made pasta).
The prices of food were slightly above average but that's expected in a historical centre and for such good quality.

Excellent service, excellent food. My spouse and I found that it's hard to find good food in Italy for tourists and most of the restaurants we visited served simply bad food. Imagine our surprise to receive not only carring service, good apperitives and downright homely delicious food at this small, unassuming village. Hail to the chef!

You have heard the cliché "the best meal we ever had in Italy...", etc, etc...

You won't hear that from me, but, I was compelled to write about this exceptional little restaurant tucked away in Sovana, Maremma, Toscana, Italia.

I focused in on this restaurant by mostly reading the translated reviews by Italians, which has worked for me before.

A collaboration between a mother and son, and la nona, who hangs out there, the restaurant decor is modern, in contrast to the traditional rustic nature of the town. This may put off some, but I am glad I looked beyond it.

Firstly, the people are kind and welcoming, and dog friendly. They are food enthusiasts who are passionate about the ingredients, that was self evident. I started with a sparkling water, fresh bread with a local Sovana olive oil, and an excellent well balanced red wine locally produced near Sovana.

The first plate was a home made pappardelle pasta in wild boar ragù. Just al dente, the combinato of the pasta and red sauce with tender pork made every bite delishious. This was an exceptional ragù. Refined rustic, but down home.

Next came an original casserole-like dish comprised of baked and sautéed vegetables, including eggplant, covered by a savory local cheese. Super tasty, not salty, again refined and balanced, yet such a simple dish.

This was accompanied and complimented by sautéed spinich with raisins and pine nuts.

Dessert was a stunner, yes, because the extra dark chocolate truffles were made in house, and placed in a creme freshe of their own making. If you can't get to sleep later, don't worry, it was worth it.

Finally, I stumbled out the door, but only after they plied me with a home made limoncello.

Lovely people and food here. You can't lose.

Ristorantino nel centro di Sovana. Affettati ottimi e primi buonissimi. Siamo stati sia a pranzo che a cena. Spero di tornarci.

Je ne peux que recommander vivement ce restaurant. On y est accueilli très chaleureusement, la nourriture est délicieuse, le rapport qualité-prix imbattable. On y retournera sans faute lors de notre prochain passage !

Abbiamo mangiato molto bene e consigliamo questo bistrò. Il servizio è stato puntuale e accogliente, il cibo è arrivato nel giro di pochi minuti, abbiamo preso una tagliata, un antipasto di crostini e una caciottina al forno condita con pinoli, nduja e salsiccia…tutto buonissimo! Ma il Top è stato il minestrone! Un sapore di altri tempi che non gustavo da tanto!! Consigliatissimo! I prezzi sono nelle media

Bardzo zgrana ekipa, dobre jedzenie. Także wino domowe smakuje jak prawdziwe domowe.

Abbiamo pranzato oggi e ci siamo sentite come a casa. Siamo stati accolti con un sorriso e tanta gentilezza. Ottimo tutto ciò che abbiamo ordinato. Consiglio vivamente.

Mangiato benissimo, servizio molto presente e attento. Ambiente interno carino anche se forse un po' freddo mentre è molto carino il giardino esterno. Il borgo antico (Sovana) nel quale il locale è situato va assolutamente visitato.

Delizioso, abbiamo preso un aperitivo e un dolce nel fantastico giardino, di sera in un atmosfera quasi magica. Ottimi i crostini con crema di verdure, magnifici i dolci. Il gestore assolutamente cordiale e gentile. Da rifare!

Il ristorante propone un giardino esterno davvero carino e accogliente.
Il personale è cordiale, gentile e premuroso alle esigenze dell'ospite.
Essendo celiaca mi è stata proposta la pasta senza glutine all'agliata, ottima!
Per non parlare del dolce: dei tartufini al cacao leggermente piccantini con frutti di bosco, una vera delizia.
Una nota di merito allo chef, un ragazzo giovane e talentuoso.
Il ristorante è super consigliato!
