Castello di Moniga

Beautiful castle that still retains the original wall and parts of the towers and keep. Nowadays you'll find modern houses in the center of the castle, but the building still retains its original charm as a 15th century castle. The castle is freely accessible: no entrance fee at all

As many others mentioned; small, quickly seen etc. But sure worth a quick visit if you’re around. Basically an old stone square wall with houses inside. Yet, it also is fascinating to see the decay, reuse and many repairs and modifications made over time. I would not drive here specially for this. But as said, when around just spent 15 min here and enjoy it. Also a nice destination for a bike ride with some ice cream afterwards in the village center.

A very tiny compound with a few houses a d household. According to an old lady who lived there, the castle used to be surrounded by water with a retractable bridge which in modern age has been covered up. A back door was also made to access the back of the castle. Very quaint place to explore.

Great place to see at the dawn

Outside of the walls there's a lovely natural teracce overlooking lake garda and the mountains. Inside them there's a very picturesque city with a couple of drinkable water fountains.

Quite a nice landmark to visit once. Don’t expect a castle inside. Rather, individual housing where people actually live.

Like the nearby Padenghe, this place is a lived-in village in the center of the old medieval castle. This is fairly unique and with seeing; the place is very well maintained as well.

The view to the lake is superb. The lawn cured and taken care of. Inside the walls the old village is nice and quite.

Nice authentic place

Cinque stelle per le mure esterne, il verde e la passeggiata che lo circonda e la bella vista sul lago. Evito di dare un giudizio sull'interno, realtà che lascia alquanto perplessi e non ha niente di attrazione turistica. Il cartellone all'interno spiega con disarmante candore il motivo di tale realtà.
Le mura esterne sono splendidamente conservate e danno un colpo d'occhio veramente incantevole, in particolare nella parte posteriore rispetto all arco di entrata o alla passeggiata pedonale dove il castello spicca su un bello e ampio prato.
