OHIMÈ Matera

Amazing pucce with a lot of variety in tastes and ingredients. All of them very tasty, a bit pricey but you obviously pay for the amazing recipes.

One of the BEST food ever. Thanks OHIMÈ, we had probably our best meals in Italy. We ordered a starter, two puccia (local sandwiches), two desserts and two drinks and it costs only €25 per person. Extraordinary food at such a low price! The food was so good that we went there the next day for pasta, and it was incredible. All of their food was just way beyond our expectations.

The food was seasoned well with vibrant flavors and texture that made street food here so unique. The flavors were perfectly balanced, meticulously crafted with an artist’s precision. It never ceases to astonish me how in such humble origins, street food/ local food, can give rises to such incredible blends and mix of tastes. You could definitely tell that the chef, Mr. Salvatore, has a deep passion for cooking. The server, Mr. Alessandro, is really friendly, warm, and welcoming. Everything we had there was truly exceptional, making it an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

Sandwich was nice. Meat starters as well.
Probably deserves a 4.7 rating. Would not recommend tagliata sandwich though as it was mostly overcooked tagliata in the sandwich for 14 eur. More classical sandwiches are better.

We were lucky to pass by this place when we were in Matera and, oh we were so happy! Relatively small place but it can accomodate groups of 6. We had a variety of sandwhiches and tiramusu, beers and some excellent iced coffee. Only downside is that some portions can be rather small, otherwise its a nice place to stop by.

We had an amazing dining experience at the restaurant in Matera. For starters, we enjoyed a seafood platter, with the octopus standing out as a true highlight! As for the main course, the pasta dishes were simply delicious. What truly impressed us was the quality of the ingredients and the passion and creativity that went into every dish. This restaurant left us thoroughly impressed :)

Ohimè easily serves the best soul food we had in Matera! The seafood appetizer, the pasta and the octopus burger are incredible. Especially for this more than fair price

Very nice place, wonderful staff, good variety of food, love the combinations. We had 2 different buns, both very good. Prices, portions and location good (it was on our way back home from old town). We would definitely come back (because there were so many good things to try and it was hard to choose) 😋

Great service, waiter Alessandro super friendly and helpful with gluten intolerance. Sandwiches absolutely delicious and by far the best gluten free bread I’ve ever eaten! 10/10 would recommend

Best sandwiches, would've loved to try the specials too. Chef spoke great english and you could hear the passion he had about the food too. Definitely grab a bite to eat here.

The sincerest menu I’ve ever seen! We had a great dinner here and I was the one who ordered the pucca with Crispy Pork, but my boyfriend loves it so much and just recommended it in his review 😂

in case you are looking for lunch in Matera after visiting the sites. The gourmet sandwich store is something else. From the sourcing of their ingredients to the overall taste. You won’t be disappointed!

Great place for a breakfast/brunch. The cheff is a super nice gentleman from Lecce. He cooked fresh rustico and pasticciotto (much better than the ones we've had in Lecce) for us, the puccia OHIME was amazing as well. Higly recommended :)

We tried glass red wines (primitivo and negroamaro) with some snacks (lecce pufpastry and mixed fries snacks). They were all very good! Hamburgers in other tables looked great too!

I was in Matera for 2 days and ate there 3 times and only didn’t eat another time cause my husband wanted to “try something different 😒”. Everything is so tasty and the staff is so friendly!

Amazing cafe with lovely sandwiches and very friendly owner. The sandwiches are what I’d call gourmet sandwiches. The quality is superb, so fresh and tasty. Don’t miss this place when you are in Matera!
