DEJACO RENATE - guida escursionistica

Renate was a wonderful guide who is a local and knowledgeable about the entire Val Badia region. She met with me the night before the hike to discuss options and had all kinds of ideas, and we settled on a hike that was very challenging but doable. The best thing about the hike was the variety – forest, open meadow, and finally (topping out at 2,550 meters) open rock, with fantastic vistas along the way. Renate knows all of the gondolas and lifts, which we used in between hikes to move to different areas. Along the way, she explained the geology, plants and trees we came across in each area we hiked. At the end of the hike, Renate joined my wife and me for lunch at a refugio – she was a delightful lunch companion as well as a skillful hiking guide.

is a knowledgeable, prepared hiking and nature guide in Alta Badia. The excursion with her at the Vallon was extremely interesting and fun as she was able to accommodate different needs in a varied group of people with different level and expertise in hiking in the Dolomites. I will contact her again next time in the area.
