All of the 5 star reviews accurately describe this place, especially Jay Serra’s post. The wonderful lady working there helped us try some really fantastic wine. The price is unbeatable for the quality, I thought. Easy parking nearby.

Wine. The elixir of the Gods. Frequently mentioned in the Bible, it is a symbol of fertility, immortality, divinity, and a drink of choice across the Mediterranean. Is this what makes these people so very beautiful? I don't know.

But what I do know is that I've stumbled upon a shop that would make Dionysus himself proud. And behind the counter stands the human embodiment of Ganymede, the sommelier to the Gods. Locals know her as Rosanna.

Being an ardent British consumer of this divine elixir, my knowledge was somewhat limited. With my fractured Italian, I managed to mumble, "Voglio un vino come Shiraz o Malbec." Surprisingly, she grasped what I was on about.

She then presented me with some of the freshest wine my taste buds have ever encountered. She explained that this wine, due to a lack of sulphites, would spare me the dreaded hangover the following day. The experience of sipping it was an utter delight on the palate, and it paired exquisitely with fruits, cheeses, and meats. And would you believe it? It cost just under 4 Euros per bottle. Yes, you heard me right, ladies and gentlemen. Quattro, Quatre, Vier, Fyra, Arba, or whatever "4" may be in your chosen tongue.

She has a passion for wines local to the place and you can sample this with her too. I have to say that you do not need Italian to communicate with her as her delivery is telepathic. But if you aren’t going to be as inebriated as I was I would maybe recommend to either brush up on your Italian or get a handy app to translate.

But apps aside, Rosanna, with her humility and personable nature, ignites a desire within you to learn Italian purely because one can absorb a wealth of wine knowledge from her. If my pockets were deep enough, I would purchase the entire shop, for she is the kind of person who only vends what she personally approves of.
If you are a wine enthusiast, it would be sacrilegious to pass by this establishment without peeking inside and procuring a bottle of her choosing.

She possesses the expertise of a sommelier par excellence, fitting for a Michelin-starred restaurant. Alas, the Gods must grant her permission to serve us mere mortals in such esteemed establishments. In the meantime, let us revel in the fact that Rosanna attends to us all at ‘La Cantina del Laghee'.

The owner ist the nicest person on earth!! She let us taste her wine & was so right with her taste! We instantly bought both bottles & were positively shook by the price!! 1 l was only 2.60 €, but it tastes like it‘s worth min. 80 €! She also gave as great advise on activities to do in this beautiful city! She really made our whole day!

I was met by a very kind woman that was more than generous with both her time and knowledge. She gave me a thorough explanation of the local wine selection available, many of which are available to taste from an entire wall of the quaint shop. The few wines I tasted were quite good! I would highly recommend stoping by and spending some time in Cantina El Vintat.

Great choice of reasonably priced wines by the litre or bottle. The owner doesn't speak any English but the names of most of the wines are familiar and she is generous with the tastings so we spent a very pleasant half hour there.

Perfect little wine shop. The lady was super sweet and knowledgeable. You can taste a few wines before purchasing.

Amazing everyday wine shop with friendly service. Be prepared to wait as this is a big hit with the locals too. No Grande Crus but pleasant and and inexpensive wine to be had.

Went there twice so far. Very friendly lady offered tastings of all the wines on tap. Many surprisingly good, such as the Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon, Pinot Nero (Noir), Bonarda (Uva Rara), Barbera, and Sauvignon Blanc and at very low price compared to the US. Also have bottled wines but it's hard to resist the tap wines given their quality and value.

Fausto was very friendly and enthusiastic and invited us to taste all of his wines on tap. We enjoyed the organic wines we purchased. His prices were very low and a great value.

Loved it! The lady here is so informative and just so adorable. The wine is amazing. We went back 3 times during our 4 day stay around the area!

Uroczy, rodzinny sklepik z lokalnymi własnej produkcji smacznymi winami. Duży wybór win zarówno z dolnej, jak i górnej półki. Naprzeciwko sklepiku jest darmowy parking.

Świetny sklep z winami, niesamowicie uprzejma obsługa z dużą wiedzą na temat sprzedawanego wina. Możliwość spróbowania kilku gatunków przed zakupem. Zdecydowanie warto się zatrzymać na zakupy. Ja zapakowałem do samochodu 12 butelek… i mam poczucie, że to nadal mało.

Große Auswahl verschiedenster Weine zum guten Preis. Haben uns einen leckeren 5 Liter Container mitgenommen und freuen uns schon auf einen fröhlichen Abend mit Freunden. Cheers!

Geht hin, gönnt euch zu Beginn eures Urlaubs ein paar Flaschen des Hausweins aus dem Tank. Nicht nur günstig, sondern auch hochwertig und schmackhaft. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend und lassen gerne probieren, damit man sich den besten Wein raussuchen kann. Ebenfalls regionale Flaschenweine vorhanden. Absoluter Pflichbesuch, wenn man in der Gegend Urlaub macht.

Sitzen gerade auf der Terrasse und trinken einen offenen Wein aus der Cantina El Virat ... ein offener Malbec. ‚Sehr lecker‘ ... neben vielen offenen Weinen (aus dem Stahltank oder Weinschlauch) ... Preise sind unschlagbar ... man kann probieren ... auf Flaschen auch ein nettes Mitbringsel ... auch viele abgefüllte Flaschenwein zu sehr fairen Preisen. Da kann kein ‚Supermarkt’ mithalten. Sehr freundliche und kompetente Beratung. Viele Dauergäste decken sich hier für ihren Aufenthalt ein. Gute Einhaltung der Corona-Regeln.
