I've stumbled upon this place 7 years ago, amazed by the outside I took this photo. Entered inside to follow the gorgeous smell of homemade italian products. I still remember the taste of the sandwich the lady made for me, the fresh strawberries she offered me, the ambiance and everything. This is a must visit place if you are in Florence.

I’m writing this while eating the sandwich she prepared for me and it’s absolutely delicious! I loved that is a small store with their unique Italian products and on top of it they have great sandwiches! Go visit this cute place!

One of my absolute favorite shop to visit. I came to this shop in March 2023 for Spring Break. I purchased a lion door knocker. I wish I had save room in my luggage and more money, I would've bought out the store. I also wish they had online sales. If they ever do online sales, I will buy more to send back to the U.S. Good quality items, helpful owner, and lots of good finds.

Every time we come to Florence from Canada we visit the store. It has so many many unique and useful items at great prices. I found out the owner was born near my parents home in Calabria. siamo rimasti molto contenti di questo fatto!

An authentic Italian shop for home goods and souvenirs you'd be proud to give someone - unlike the cheesy, mass produced souvenirs all over the place.

Could not recommend this place more highly! Good prices on olive wood products, and the very charming owner treated us to some wine and snacks while we browsed.

What a great place. We bought about a quarter of our souvenirs here - olive wood gifts, spices, and small tins of olive oil.

Owner is great, enjoyed the food and drink. Olive wood items are high quality and good price and made by the owners. Ravioli press selection is notable. One of the last bodegas of its kind.

When in Florence, you must check out this store. Huge variety of handmade artifacts. Best cheese bread and salami in town.

If you are looking for an authentic Italian shoppe, this is it. It is located in a little offshoot alley near Le Antiche Carrozze Firenze (a delicious restaurant), you wouldn't spot it off the street, so its a place you gotta go in a bit to find - which makes it the perfect little authentic shop the locals go to.

The owner is a friendly man, very kind and sociable. He enjoys running the shoppe and meeting and conversing with people from all over the world. You can tell he loves life!

The shoppe has all kind of neat trinkets. I'm talking old school dishware, decorations, jewelry, vases, ornaments, knick-knacks...stuff my grandmother used to have in her glass display cabinets. She probably got them from this place. They also have a great selection of cheeses, wine, cured meats and other snacks that offer a true taste of Italy. Its a small shoppe packed with goods - it's like stepping into a time warp back to classic Florence when you find it. Enjoy!

The store was in a side street. I heard beautiful opera arias before I even saw the store. The owner didn't speak a word of English and I could not even manage a buon giorno. We smiled a lot and he had a sample tray of prosciutto out, which was delicious! He did a wine tasting with me and added some cheese and olives. I bought a beautiful cutting board, some prosciutto, wines, and some olive oil. I have since learned some Italian, just so I can go back and thank the signor for a fantastic, authentic experience!

As many said already, great experience. We started looking through different products and in few minutes there was a wine bottle opened, a cheese and olives on a board offered.
There is a lot to choose from in this tiny place.
It is definitely a one of a kind shop! Experience it for yourself.

Same as the previous reviewer, i had the most enjoyable experience in the shop. Never seen an owner so kind and generous who offered me heaps of wine, salami, cheese, bread etc etc.. needless to say I wandered the streets of florence drunk at 330pm! I love all the hand made wooden and copper products, too bad my tiny handcarry luggage cant fit much, otherwise i would have bought his whole shop!

This place is awesome. What a treasure! It is located in a back alley of luxurious brand shops. You may skip and would not notice, but should check out definetely. Olive wooden products are great quality and a lot to choose from. Mr. owner was a kind next door man and generous.

Adorable shop, super friendly owner--insisted we try two different kinds of wine, cut tons of different cheeses when he found out we were vegetarian (no salami for us!), beautiful breadboards and the truffle oil is divine! Best shopping experience in Florence hands down. Grazie mille!

Amazing. He provided us samples of wine
... one and a half bottles worth of samples. Handmade products from olive wood, olive oil, vinegar, and tons of other stuff. Owner is always laughing. If we had not left when we did we would have gotten drunk.

One of my favorite place to visit in Firenze. Best kept secret so go find it!! It's preserved in time and there's all kinds of treasures packed into this tight hidden place.

Shopkeeper Macel (after which the place is named) and wife run the business. I love that they do not speak English so use Google translator. This is the REAL Italian experience. We purchased hand crafted lovely olive wooden boards and spoons, table cloths, and assorted pastes to make bruschetta when we get home to the US. The boards will be talking pieces when we display them because they are one of a kind.

You can get all kinds of stuff for yourself or family and friends here. You can spend a little and a lot. Stand in there a while to look because the place is packed!! 🤗

Macel started an impromptu party by feeding us pecorino cheese, salami, bruschetta and vino!! We were jammed into this little itty space so tightly that we made friends who we went to dinner with later! This is a place that has maintained its Italian charm and creates lasting impressions. Come when you see Marcel! If not, come back when he is there!
