We went at a perfect time, sun light was almost perfectly over the falls and the water volume according to the life guard was the most he had ever seen. The water was completely crystal clear and blue. It was beautiful. Water feels cold at first but after staying in feels warm rather quickly. Videos doesn’t do justice, you have to see it in person.

I’ve been going to Reach since I’ve been a baby. It is always more beautiful every time you go. It’s a true hidden gem and the cold water feels great against your skin. You can take the tour and swim all day.

Reach Falls is a true hidden gem in the beautiful parish of Portland. I had the privilege of visiting and was absolutely mesmerized by the natural beauty it offers. The waterfalls are not only breathtaking but also provide a surreal atmosphere that's hard to find elsewhere.

What sets Reach Falls apart is their commitment to safety. They offer guided tours and have vigilant lifeguards on duty, ensuring that your well-being is a top priority. Additionally, the availability of facilities for changing and bathrooms adds to the overall convenience of your visit.

In my opinion, Reach Falls is the crown jewel of Portland, and I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to pay it a visit. Make sure to explore the tunnel within the falls; it's an otherworldly experience that shouldn't be missed.

This place is a must-see for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Reach Falls is a testament to the beauty of Jamaica, and it's an experience you'll cherish forever. Don't miss the opportunity to discover this hidden paradise!

DO THE LOCAL TOUR!!!!! on the way up to government entrance you will have some people trying to stop you to do local guide tour. DEFINITELY do that instead of government entrance. It is a whole experience, they take you up multiple natural pools with some minimal climbing. Also one of the waterfalls had a little cave you can go into and then you swim up under from the waterfall. I went around and did it about 3 times lol. For those who opt out of climbing they will just have you follow along them. They will also take pictures for you with your phone. At the end you wind up getting up close to the main reach falls anyways where you can take pictures. You get alot more out of the local tour I'm telling you. Our guide was Nelson. Cool, chill guy. It's 1,000jmd for for government entrance or $10 per person for local tour.

Amazing place . It’s a bit cheaper than Duns Falls , but not any less amazing maybe even better considering some factors like the fact more quiet and it gives that wild waterfall vibe.

This is a picturesque park that encompasses a lush tropical forest and is highlighted by spectacular waterfall that empties it’s clear cool waters into a emerald coloured pool that is refreshing to swim in. This was my third visit to this natural wonder in Portland that offers a tranquil and relaxing setting. There is ample parking at the entrance of the park and admission fees are reasonable. Park staff was courteous and professional. The park includes clean well maintained restrooms and change rooms. Lifeguards are on duty in the swimming areas. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful part of Jamaica when in the Port Antonio area.

Carry bug/mosquito repellent! Apart from that the view was breathtaking, a lot of greenery (nature). The road to get to reach falls is bad so be prepared for a narrow road way. Also you might lose cell signal at some parts of the journey. The water was cold.

If you know locals you can get a free tour and a free spot for swimming otherwise you’ll have to pay to go in the official reach falls area.

At the bridge going up, kids were jumping off in the river, if you go at a time when the water is deep you can enjoy that as well.

Overall it was a great country experience. Clean cool fall, strong falls current and just a great vibe with the family.

I would recommend local guided tour, as it's mich nicer experience to start from the first pool and walk and swimm up to the main fall in beautiful surronding! We enjoyed that very much!

Beautiful clear cold water! The falls are strong. I did the tour with a local which we started from the bottom and walked thru different parts of the falls. You want get the Rabbit hole this way. Had I known maybe I would not have done it but supporting the locals none the less. $1500 JMD. Afterwards I paid at the govt gate because I came for the Rabbit Hole particularly. Place was well kept and very few people. I went in and out of the falls a few times. The water is Strong!! One of the lifeguards took me up to the rabbit hole and it was fun. It's not scary like you think. Very cool unique feature. Reach falls is beautiful.

Awesome so much fun. I would recommend doing the loca tour and not government one. You will see much more plus you're helping the local economy. You can pickup a local guide on corner of the fall road.

Best waterfall in Jamaica, a must see. Water is crystal clear and there are too many features to make a complete list, like caves, underwater tunnels, coves and sinkholes.

$10 USD entrance free for non locals. They take credit card.

A "guide" can take you up to the rabbit hole which is a whole different experience! Definitely do that if you are brave enough. Talk them down to $500 Jamaica dollars. It's not far. Bring water shoes, rocks can be sharp and slippery.

Access road to Reach is pretty good but the coast road from Port Antonio to Boston Bay is horrible, so be warned.

No food and toys allowed, which is reasonable considering the unspoiled beauty of the place. Some crazy reviewer below complained about not being able to bring toys or balls in. Geez, do you know where you are? Do you see the nature around you?

As always, take out what your bring in. Do not litter.

If you want a nice little adventure while visiting this place, you should ask for Leonard to be your guide in the town and take the local tour with him. It costs 10$/person and he'll bring you to the river where you'll walk/swim upstream for about 30min passing small falls and beautifull blue pools until you'll get to the Reach Fall. Awesome experience with no tourists in view!

One the best falls I’ve been to. The water is so clean and Crystal clear plus it’s really blue! The cost is $500, there is a life guard on the property to ensure your safety. Take your food as there is no food place on property or near by. Remember to jump in the rabbit hole!

Lovely grounds. Well maintained restrooms. Knowledgeable lifeguards. Very enjoyable despite the cold water.

I must say, my trip to reach falls was one well worth the potholes encountered along the way. The falls is absolutely stunning to say the least. Well kept, lush vegetation is truly breath taking. Its a really peaceful spot to bring the family or just to chill out. At the moment there's no where on the property for food so bare that in mind. Oh, and climbing the falls and letting the gush of the water beat upon your back is very exhilarating. I 100 percent reccomend.

Great experience. We didn’t do an organised tour, and you don’t need to. Just drive to the government entrance, park, and pay the fee to get to the famous falls where the waterfall scene from Cocktail was filmed. Doing the local tour won’t get you there.
The falls are beautiful, the water is crystal clear, and not as cold as we thought it would be. The staff their are great, especially the lifeguards at the falls who make sure you stay safe. We had an amazing time at Reach Falls!

Our favourite river in Jamaica : wild nature, cistal clear water, walking upstream is nice and not very difficult.
We got a local guide for 5000. But if you park before the official entrance, you can find yourself a way to access the river and walk carefully in the water on your own without a guide if you are a bit adventurous. Look for local reach falls on googl map.
Cause the local guide does not allow you to stay very long in the river if you want to Chris's, he has to come back with you
