I am writing this review much later (eight months later) but I had a great experience at air-OSAKA and got a digital perm from Mayo who was very accommodating and experienced with hair. She did a thorough job asking me what kind of perm I wanted and also explained how the perm would come out with my specific hair thickness/texture. It's already been eight months since the perm but I still continue to receive compliments about my wavy hair. I would definitely recommend this salon, especially to any tourists who may not be able to communicate their hair needs in Japanese.

My boyfriend and I visited the salon on a whim based on the excellent Google reviews, and we were not disappointed! The stylists went out of their way to accommodate us last minute, which we greatly appreciated.

We were eager to experience a Japanese Head Spa, and the treatment far exceeded our expectations. The entire experience was incredibly relaxing, and by the end, our scalps felt much cleaner and refreshed.

If you are either in the Osaka or Tokyo area, I highly recommend Air! Thank you again to the team for servicing us!

I'm from the US and visited Osamu for a haircut and treatment, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. His precision and attention to detail while cutting my hair were exceptional. I really wish he worked in the States. I highly recommend him and the staff; everyone was incredibly helpful and kind, providing awesome customer service.

My hubby had his haircut first since “he badly needed one”. Back where we were, salons costs a fortune ao getting a haircut is a treat, and Air Osaka made it just that! Husband came back from hair appointment and he looked different. Good different. I was amazed , so I had my hair done too!

They gave water while you are waiting, the shampoo was done wholeheartedly, I’ve never been shampooed like that my entire life! It felt “washed”! It was a different stylist who did the shampooing , then a neck and shoulder massage. He was really nice and felt really warm and genuine. My hubby and I’s stylist Ms. Riko was top tier! I could not fault! She listened to what you wanted and delivered! The cashier and front of house team members were also very good!

Overall , amazingggg experience. I would go as a regular if I lived in Osaka! Can’t sing them enough praises!!!

I was visiting Osaka and really wanted to try getting my hair done, but I was still a little nervous since I didn’t speak Japanese and worried that I wouldn’t be able to get everything I wanted across in terms of the style I wanted. This salon is actually very foreigner-friendly and my hairdresser, Mayo, made the whole experience amazing! She really listened to what I wanted and suggested styles that would suit me. She was also gentle but thorough when washing my hair. I got a cut and hair treatment for a really good price, and would highly recommend this place if you’re in Osaka!

On vacation from Hawaii and looking for a salon that could touch up my highlights with a haircut. Air Osaka had great reviews and literally 1 minute walk from my hotel. I was booked with Mayo and she was superb! She understood clearly what I wanted delivered excellent care from head massage to neck and shoulder massage while accomplishing the cut and color I wanted! I am so happy I listened to all the reviews and chose Air Osaka! The atmosphere was so relaxing they even brought me a bottle water and provided a cute little tote to put my phone in. Mayo is my new go to hair stylist! I’ll be back Mayo! Aloha and mahalo!!

A very nice salon with kind and talented stylists! I was looked after by Yumi and she did an amazing job on my hair. She didn’t mind that I could not speak Japanese, she spoke English very well! I would highly recommend to everyone and will definitely come back the next time I’m in Osaka.

An amazing and relaxing experience! I rarely get my hair treated or cut but I will always come back to this place when I’m in Osaka. I’m from the UK and I can vouch this salon is superior than ones we have back home. I had Mayo Yamano and she is the sweetest, gifted and so professional. Happy with results, head massages and head tingles guaranteed!

I got a cut and wash with Riko and it was the best haircut of my life!!! The layers are beautiful and she was very very precise. The hair wash was soo long and with lots of head massage as well. My hair looks amazing I wish I could come back.

The salon is very spacious and clean, staffs are very welcoming and helpful, and also speaking English. I had Mayo as my stylist, she gave me a very good hair wash and head massage, very well done the hair cut exactly what I want it. Totally recommended this place and Mayo!

Entering the store as a tourist, the staff were warm and welcoming. Location is very conveniently located by Shinsaibashi. My stylist, Yumi, was very professional, kind and helpful. She communicated very well in english and perfected the haircut I wanted. The scalp and shoulder massages were a nice bonus. Her attention to detail was outstanding. Would definitely recommend Yumi!

i made a reservation for air osaka online through the booking website, which was fairly easy to navigate and had many options available.

during the appointment, ms riko and the rest of the staff were very friendly and patient throughout, and i’m grateful for their help!

there were no problems with a language barrier as most of the staff i spoke to could understand and speak some english. ms honey, one of the staff, is also fully fluent in english and can help to communicate your requests if needed!

the services provided were of great quality and i would recommend this hair salon to anyone wishing to get their hair done in osaka!

My daughter and I had a great experience at air-Osaka. I had a haircut and hair treatment. Yumi was the stylist. I told her that I wanted to have a haircut that was easy to take care of. She did a very good job and also taught me how to style my hair at home. The cost was similar to that in NYC (~$100). My daughter had a haircut, hair coloring, and treatment. Yuno gave some suggestions on the color based on her preference. she liked her haircut and hair color very much and got a lot of compliments when she was back to the US. The cost for her was ~$200, which would be more expensive if she did it in NYC. Highly recommended the salon and Yumi and Yuno!

We are visiting from Florida, and we're highly impressed with the staff, facilities, and service. My wife had Yumi Tochimoto, and I had Mayo Yamano. Both ladies were very polite, helpful, understanding, and highly skilled. They went out of their way to make sure we were very comfortable. Long story short: Best hair experience we have ever had. We just wish they weren't so far away from Florida!

The salon is very English-friendly and just friendly overall. Their service is phenomenal with gentle, patient and kind staff who work well with each other to make sure you receive the hairstyle you’ve asked for. Takahiro Endo was my main hairstylist and he perfected what I asked for, and Honey ThantZin assisted through the process perfectly especially with translations. Even other staff members came to help here and there and they were amazing as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back here to get my hair done.

I had an amazing time at Air Osaka! I got the cut, colour and treatment and my hair felt super soft and smooth afterwards. Everyone who worked on my hair was super friendly and lovely, and I would definitely come back if I visit Japan again!

I would like to say that if you want to get some haircut this place can be your 1st choice. First, I didn’t pick this salon in my first choice but before I arrived osaka I booked for hair cut with Yumi san. I didn’t expect that much because I got a lot of bad experience but after she cut my hair I have to say ‘oh my god’ she cut every details of my hair, she ask me every 2 minutes about my hair that I like or not or more short or enough, she cut until we think in the same way that perfect 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 ( the process around 60 minute or more than i’m not sure but she cut until I think when she will finish 😹😹😹)
