I'm a foreigner and do not know this person before. But the museum do an excellent job. All rooms have things would attract me very much, light and sound are perfected. I'm so enjoyed learning his biography from beginning till the end. There is a cafe to stop by and take rest in the same theme of the museum. The ticket is required and able to buy at the entrance.

If you like Tora-san, then this is a must. Filled with atmosphere and interactive displays. It was renovated a few years ago, and it looks very up to date and nice. Easy to walk through and enjoy, although there are not a lot of English explanations.

Be warned, there is no English on the exhibits, but I didn’t care and loved this museum. Tora San is a national treasure in Japan and you will understand how much he is loved.

A wonderful set up with the Original props and furniture from the Tora San series which creates a wonderful nostalgic feeling.also an excellent Diorama of the area. If you have watched Tora san you will feel quite emotional visiting this place.

I don't know if this museum would mean much to you if you are not already a fan of Yoji Yamada's Tora-san series of movies, but if you are, you'll thoroughly enjoy the place. There's also a Yoji Yamada museum attached that is just beautiful.

A very informative museum recounting Tora-san's story and old way of life in Japan. There are videos, model of their home/shop, and a cafe. I haven't watched Otoko wa Itsuroi yo but this museum made me want to watch it. :)

Even if you’re not a fan or know little about Tora-San, this tiny museum is worth a few minutes of your time (ticket should grant you access to the museum right in front of it). All staff is super friendly and try to help you as much as they can, with whatever English they know. Be warn the museum is 100% in Japanese

Very pretty place after dark. Almost no one around and you can hear the crickets and trains in the distance. Romantic and great to sit down and day dream a little.

Really well presented museum. Even if you've never seen the film series and don't speak a word of Japanese the quality of the story telling come across clearly.

I don't know who Tora-san is. Maybe you don't know who he is too. But, after a step into this museum, i know about him, about Shibamata best icon. Worth it for 500 yen.

There is a famous film series about Japan in the postwar times. The museum shows the building which has been used as central setting in the movie.
