There is a free shuttle that can take you to the resort from shuzenji station platform 8 on the left when you exit. The staff greeted our group upon arrival and was able to accommodate very well to our situation. The resort has several activities and plenty of things to do. If you are trying to get away from the city life and relax. I would highly recommend the Izu Marriott resort.

We loved our stay here. The staff were all so helpful and kind and our room with a private onsen was a highlight of our trip to Japan. The property was clean and immaculately maintained. We stopped here between Tokyo and Kyoto, traveling to Mishima via Shinkansen and then taking a local train to Shuzenji (all covered by our JR pass-yay!). A shuttle runs to the property from the train station and there are also plenty of taxis. Maybe bring a few groceries along for snacks, etc., but the room service options were good and the breakfast and dinners served in the hotel are excellent. Highly recommend!

A fantastic hotel to go to during the Sakura season! The hotel has many different facilities and has a huge area to walk around for a better look at the beautiful sakura trees. The rooms are quite expensive, but are clean and comfy. I have been to many Marriott hotels all over Japan and I can assure you, the Shuzenji branch is the best of the bunch!

Had a great stay. Quiet and serene area. I liked the breakfast. Private onsen is also nice.

Izu Marriott Shuzenji was a surprising highlight of our trip. Tucked away a bit far from the centre of Shuzenji, it's most convenient to go by car.

The hotel is very family friendly and there are good facilities, including a small but comfortable executive lounge for members with higher status. There's also a coin laundry which is much cheaper than getting dry cleaning.

The rooms are very large and well appointed, and we were fortunate enough to get an outdoor onsen in our room (originally I'd booked a room with an indoor onsen but got an upgrade - much appreciated).

The breakfast buffet was very good, although the dinner was so so (it's a semi buffet).

If you have a car, this hotel is a great place to stay whilst you explore the Izu peninsula. For the facilities and quality of the room, it's very good value for what you get.

Well maintained prestige hotel with Onsen inside your guest room! They also have a public Onsen at the ground floor. You are encouraged to experience the japanese hotspring culture by using their public Onsen.
Last but not least, you cannot find any other Marriott with the same level of hospitality as Izu Marriott. I definitely will stay with Izu Marriott in the future.

My husband and i were traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto for our honeymoon and had a one day stop at Izu. We took a free shuttle bus from the shuzenji station which ran every hour or so. We stayed at Marriott Izu using 35,000 points. It was a steal as we would have to use 2X points or more to stay at a equivalent hotel in the US. When I checked in on my Marriott app, they upgraded us to a suite with private outdoor bath and it was a highlight of our honeymoon. The room was spacious and cozy. It felt luxurious. As a titanium member, we also got a free breakfast, which had great selections with local ingredients and everything we had was delicious. I saw other reviews complaining about their dining experience but personally I really enjoyed the quality of service and food. Lastly, the hotel staffs were super friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend!

Was here for 4 days, 3 nights for an event. Great hotel, great friendly staff, good facilities and lovely relaxing onsen.
Location is not far from the station but secluded and very verdant. Great place for walking or bathing in nature. Thoroughly recommended.

You know when it’s a Marriot , they know what they are doing . Been a big fan of JW Marriot but this hotel live up to its name as well. For the price and service I have no complaints, people need to take note that it’s excluded area from town so expect nothing around the hotel. Enjoy the beautiful greenery and silence of the forest while you are here . Plus if you wanna have good craft beer head down to Baird Brewery down the road . Thank you to all the staff at Marriot Izu ! Arigatougozaimasu 😍

With some hiccups, I’m still happy with the overall experience and glad I celebrated my birthday there.

Mr. Atuji (the spelling may be off) greeted us at the front where I dropped off the luggage and my son first before parking at the complimentary parking.

I didn’t get an upgrade for my osen in the room type. We got a small pastry tower and kid yokata delivered to the room for my birthday.

The room is super clean and modern. Mt. Fuji was covered by the clouds for our entire stay.

The hot spring doesn’t turn off so it becomes like a therapeutic white noise.

On the 2F, the fitness center is clean with 2 ellipticals, 2 treadmills, yoga ball, etc.

On the 1F, there’s a kid room that looks cute but we didn’t get to use.

We did checkout the bath and red rock spa. Highly recommend them! The process is a bit confusing so I used Google translate to understand the procedures to make sure I am respectful to the locals and facilities.

After this trip, my son and my allergies are gone. We’ll be back soon!

We have just finished a huge event set over multiple days here and I cannot praise the team enough! Kuni was a huge help to us and the hotel should be very proud to have him there! My room was amazing with its own Onsen and the views of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding area are glorious. Kuni San please pass on my thanks to everyone from top to bottom - I tried to find as many as I could on my last morning to thank them myself.

Beautiful and peaceful location (You can clearly see mount Fuji).
Staff was friendly. Front desk Mr. Roshan was very helpful and informative. The walking trail he suggested was refreshing after the healthy breakfast. Fresh juices, Fruits, many local produce were in the menu.
Tennis, golf and many other activities around.
Clean spacious rooms too.
Thank you for the great service.
We will be back!!

For our wedding anniversary, we chose to stay a night here at Izu Marriott. We got not one, but two very pleasant surprise from the hotel management. First surprise, our room got upgraded, and the room has a private rotenburo, bath at outside corridor with a view facing the mountains of Izu. Second surprise, we received several cakes delivered directly to our room. Delicious pastries, which just melted in your mouth, I presumed made by the best professionals. Both surprises were well thought of, and were needed. We had a very relaxing long bath, privately, while savoring the best of pastries. Both mind and body were well rested, we were supposed to go exploring nearby places, but we chose just to relax. Thank you for the memorable anniversary, I do really appreciate.

Perfect hotel for a relaxing getaway during the pandemic. The hotel is located away from the town in a remote area surrounded by mountains and greenery. Very peaceful!

The hotel shares the grounds with the Laforet Resort and all facilities can be used by guests from either hotel. There's a free hourly shuttle bus to/from Shuzenji station which was fantastic as we weren't driving.

The hotel itself was spotless. Very modern and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

We booked the premium twin room with private open air hot spring! It was bliss soaking in the hot spring water with a nice mountain view and not having to worry about other guests.

The room itself was spacious, around 50 sqm. Very new, very clean, super comfy beds, and free stable wi-fi.

There's one dining option in the hotel but more options at the Laforet hotel if you want. We just stayed at the Marriott. Food was great if a little expensive but it was local produce I think so can't really complain. Advise to bring your own food if you're on a budget. There's nothing else nearby.

There's other shared facilities such as a fitness room, bedrock sauna, swimming pool etc.

All in all, very happy with our stay there. Would definitely recommend.

It’s worth staying here even if it is rainy or sunny. This hotel is one of Japanese hotel masterpieces.

Great hotel in the south of fuji mountain. It takes 2 hours of driving time from tokyo downtown and 2 hours of driving mount fuji. Not really accessible if you don't drive. But the i think it definitely worth the time. Staffs are really polite and surroundings are nice. Air is excellent and rooms are comfy. Most room has hot springs water inside. Lounge are better than other Marriotts in the world in terms of food and alcohol variety
